Abstract
Description
実施形態1を説明する。図1は燃料供給装置を示す正断面図、図2は同じく側断面図、図3は同じく平断面図である。図1に示すように、燃料供給装置10は、例えば自動車の燃料タンク12に設置され、燃料タンク12内の燃料をエンジン(内燃機関)に供給する。燃料タンク12の上壁12aには開口孔13が形成されている。
実施形態2を説明する。本実施形態及び以降の実施形態は、前記実施形態1に変更を加えたものであるから、その変更部分について説明し、重複する説明は省略する。図4は燃料供給装置を示す側断面図である。図4に示すように、本実施形態は、実施形態1(図2参照)における蓄圧器71を蓄圧器(符号、81を付す)に変更したものである。蓄圧器81は、有底状の筒状壁部82とダイヤフラム83とを備えている。筒状壁部82は、カバー部材35のフィルタケース部38の上面側に形成されている。筒状壁部82は、縦型で上面開口状に形成されている。
実施形態3を説明する。図5は燃料供給装置を示す側断面図である。図5に示すように、本実施形態は、実施形態1(図2参照)における蓄圧器71のシリンダ部72に、蓄圧器71(詳しくは、蓄圧室76)の内圧を所定値に保つためのリリーフ弁88を組み込んだものである。リリーフ弁88は、通常時は閉弁しており、蓄圧器71の蓄内圧が所定値以上に上昇したときに開弁し、蓄圧室76内の燃料をリザーバ16外へ逃がすようになっている。したがって、リリーフ弁88によって蓄圧室76の内圧が所定値に保持されることにより、蓄圧室76の内圧の過加圧を防止することができる。
実施形態4を説明する。図6は燃料供給装置を示す側断面図である。図6に示すように、本実施形態は、実施形態1(図2参照)における蓄圧器71を、カバー部材35のポンプケース部37の外周側に縦置き状に設けたものである。蓄圧室76は下側に配置され、背圧室77が上側に配置されている。連通路78は、シリンダ部72の下端側壁部に開口された孔からなる。本実施形態によると、実施形態1と比べて、蓄圧器71の蓄圧室76の最大容積を容易に増大することができる。
実施形態5を説明する。図7は燃料供給装置を示す側断面図である。図7に示すように、本実施形態は、実施形態1(図2参照)における蓄圧器71を、リザーバカップ33の周壁33aの外側部に縦置き状に設けたものである。蓄圧室76は下側に配置され、背圧室77が上側に配置されている。連通路78は、リザーバカップ33の周壁33aの下端部に開口された孔からなる。本実施形態によると、実施形態1と比べて、蓄圧器71の蓄圧室76の最大容積を容易に増大することができる。
本発明は上記した実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲における変更が可能である。例えば、燃料移送手段としては、ジェットポンプ26以外のポンプを用いてもよい。また、ジェットポンプ26は、プレッシャレギュレータ24から排出(吐出)される余剰燃料を駆動燃料として利用したが、燃料ポンプ18のベーパジェットから吐出した燃料を駆動燃料として利用してもよいし、燃料ポンプ18の吐出燃料から分流した燃料を駆動燃料として利用してもよい。

Claims (4)
- 燃料タンク内に配置されかつ密閉状に形成されたリザーバと、
前記リザーバ内の燃料をエンジンに供給する燃料ポンプと、
前記燃料ポンプに吸入される燃料を濾過する吸入フィルタと、
前記燃料タンク内の燃料を前記リザーバ内に移送する燃料移送手段と
を備える燃料供給装置であって、
前記燃料移送手段による燃料の移送圧力を利用して前記リザーバ内の燃料を加圧する構成とし、
前記リザーバ内の燃料圧力が高くなったときにその燃料圧力を蓄圧し、その後、前記リザーバ内の燃料圧力が低下したときに燃料を該リザーバ内に放出する蓄圧器が設けられている
ことを特徴とする燃料供給装置。 - 請求項1に記載の燃料供給装置であって、
前記蓄圧器は、前記リザーバ内の燃料を導入する蓄圧室の容積を可変しかつ該蓄圧室の容積を減少する方向へ弾性的に付勢される容積可変部材を備えていることを特徴とする燃料供給装置。 - 請求項1又は2に記載の燃料供給装置であって、
前記蓄圧器に、前記蓄圧室の内圧を所定値に保つためのリリーフ弁を備えていることを特徴とする燃料供給装置。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1つに記載の燃料供給装置であって、
前記燃料移送手段は、前記燃料ポンプから吐出された燃料でかつ前記エンジンに供給されない燃料の流れを利用して燃料を移送するジェットポンプであることを特徴とする燃料供給装置。
