本出願は、米国を除く全指定国の出願人である米国のイートン コーポレーション並びに米国のみの出願人であるマイケル アンソニー ストナー、トーマス ディー.ホーキンス、ダグラス シンプソンの氏名または名称で、2010年6月11日にPCT国際特許出願として出願されたものであり、2009年6月11日に出願された米国仮特許出願第61/186,136号の利益を主張するものである。
そして、本出願に係る発明は、車両用の故障(フォールト)検知及び応答システムに関連するものである。

Claims (4)
- リザーバから離すと共に液体チャンバから離したガスチャンバを含むアキュムレータを有するポンプシステムにおけるオイルリークを検知する検知方法であって、
該検知方法は、
リザーバの流体の流体温度を表すデータ信号を取得すること、
アキュムレータの流体の流体圧力を表すデータ信号を取得すること、
取得した流体温度と取得した流体圧力に基づいてリザーバ内の流体のレベルを推定すること、
リザーバの流体の実際のレベルを表すデータ信号を取得すること、
流体の推定したレベルと流体の実際のレベルとを比較すること、
実際のレベルが、しきい値よりも大きい推定したレベルと異なる場合に、故障を起動すること、を含むことを特徴とする検知方法。 - 前記ポンプシステムは車両に動作可能に接続されており、また、前記検知方法は、さらに、車両が移動しているかどうかを判定すること、及び、
車両が移動していると判定されるかどうかに基づいてしきい値を調整すること、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1の検知方法。 - 前記しきい値を調整することは、車両が停止している場合に、しきい値の量を低くすること、を含むことを特徴とする請求項2の検知方法。
- 前記しきい値は、データ信号を供給するセンサの許容範囲に少なくとも部分的に基づいて計算されることを特徴とする請求項2の検知方法。
