Abstract
【解決手段】
本発明は、ポリプロピレン系樹脂、変性ポリプロピレン樹脂、アイオノマー樹脂、オレフィン系共重合体弾性体、およびスチレン系共重合体弾性体を含む自動車エアバッグカバー用ポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物、これを用いたエアバッグ用カバー素材およびその素材を用いたエアバッグモジュールに関するものである。

Description
実施例1〜4および比較例1〜7で製造されたオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体ペレットの物性試験を行うために、射出成形機を用いて物性測定用試験片を製作し、引張強度、引張伸び率、強度および硬度を下記のASTM規格に基づいて評価した。その結果を下記の表2に示した。
(1)引張強度および伸び率
ASTM D638方法によって測定し、試験温度は23℃、クロスヘッド速度は200mm/分に設定した。
(2)アイゾッド衝撃強度
ASTM D256方法によって測定し、試験条件は−40℃の条件下で測定した。
(3)硬度
ASTM D2240方法によって測定し、単位はShore Dスケールである。
(4)展開試験
前記実施例1〜4および比較例1〜7で製造されたオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体のペレットを用いてDABカバー製造用射出機に投入/射出してDABカバーを製造し、これを用いて製造したエアバッグモジュールをステアリングホイールに装着した後、インフレータ雷管に電気的な信号を加えて爆発させて膨脹するエアバッグクッションが、DABカバーを裂いて出るようにした。この時、DABカバーに意図的に溝を掘ったシームライン(seam line)側で正常に割れるかを確認し、カバー片が飛散するか否か、および組み立てられたカバーの離脱現象などを確認して評価した。
(5)熱老化展開試験
展開試験の前に、100〜110℃で、400時間、モジュールを老化させた後、(4)と同様に展開して異常の有無を観察する。
(6)熱衝撃老化展開試験
展開試験の前に、−40℃および90℃で繰り返して24日間モジュールを老化させた後、(4)と同様に展開して異常の有無を観察する。
したがって、本発明にかかる実施例のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体を用いる時、比較例と比較して引張強度および引張伸び率に優れるだけでなく、低温衝撃強度の向上が同時に実現され、展開性能に優れていることが明らかになった。
Claims (11)
- ポリプロピレン系樹脂;
変性ポリプロピレン樹脂;
アイオノマー樹脂;
オレフィン系共重合体弾性体;および
スチレン系共重合体弾性体を含むことを特徴とするポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。 - 前記組成物は、組成物の総重量に対して、
ポリプロピレン系樹脂20〜60重量%;
変性ポリプロピレン樹脂0.1〜10重量%;
アイオノマー樹脂5〜30重量%;
オレフィン系共重合体弾性体5〜40重量%;および
スチレン系共重合体弾性体5〜40重量%を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。 - 前記ポリプロピレン系樹脂は、流動指数が230℃、2.16kgの荷重で1.0〜90g/10分であり、前記ポリプロピレンを構成するα−オレフィン単量体としては、エチレン(ethylene)、1−ブテン(1−butene)、1−ペンテン(1−pentene)および1−ヘキセン(1−hexene)からなる群より選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。
- 前記変性ポリプロピレン樹脂は、ポリプロピレンの主鎖または末端にアクリル酸、マレイン酸、無水マレイン酸、カルボン酸およびヒドロキシル基からなる群より選択された1つ以上の反応基が形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。
- 前記アイオノマー樹脂は、エチレンアクリル酸またはエチレンメタクリル酸の共重合体または三元共重合体のカルボン酸の一部が金属陽イオンに置換されたことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。
- 前記金属陽イオンは、亜鉛、ナトリウム、リチウム、マグネシウム、カルシウムおよびカリウムからなる群より選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項5に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。
- 前記オレフィン系共重合体弾性体は、部分的に結晶性または無定形として2種以上のモノオレフィンを共重合させて製造したランダム共重合体であるα−オレフィン系共重合体またはオレフィン系共重合体弾性体の単独または2種以上の混合物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。
- 前記スチレン系共重合体弾性体は、スチレン−ブタジエン−スチレン、スチレン−エチレン−ブチレン−スチレン、スチレン−ブタジエンゴム、スチレン−イソプレン−スチレンのブロックを有する共重合体からなる群より選択される1種以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。
- 前記ポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物は、潤滑剤、酸化防止剤、光安定剤、熱安定剤、離型剤、顔料、帯電防止剤、抗菌剤、加工助剤、金属不活性化剤、耐摩擦耐磨耗剤およびカップリングエージェントからなる群より選択される1種以上の添加剤を追加的にさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物。
- 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載のポリオレフィン系熱可塑性弾性体組成物を用いたエアバッグ用カバー素材。
- 請求項10に記載のエアバッグ用カバー素材を用いた運転者エアバッグモジュール。
