Claims (21)

  1. 乳幼児に与えられる際に少なくとも約7 mg/LのDPA(n-6)を含むように調合されている乳幼児用調合乳組成物であって、該組成物は長鎖n-3脂肪酸をさらに含み；該長鎖n-3脂肪酸はDHAを含み；該組成物はARAをさらに含み；ARA：DHAの比が0.4：1より大きく約3：1未満であり；かつ、乳幼児に与えられる際に少なくとも約2 mg/kg/日DPA(n-6)を提供するように、該組成物が調合されている、乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  2. 少なくとも約13 mg/LのDPA(n-6)を含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  3. 少なくとも約26 mg/LのDPA(n-6)を含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  4. 少なくとも約40 mg/LのDPA(n-6)を含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  5. 少なくとも約53 mg/LのDPA(n-6)を含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  6. 少なくとも約66 mg/LのDPA(n-6)を含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  7. 組成物中のDPA(n-6)が油によって供給され、該油が少なくとも約2重量％のDPA(n-6)を含む長鎖n-6脂肪酸を含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  8. DPA(n-6)が、植物、油糧種子、微生物、動物、および前記のものの混合物からなる群より選択される供給源由来である、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  9. 供給源が、藻類、細菌、真菌、および原生生物からなる群より選択される微生物である、請求項８記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  10. 供給源が、ダイズ、トウモロコシ、ベニバナ、ヒマワリ、キャノーラ、アマ、ラッカセイ、カラシ、ナタネ、ヒヨコマメ、ワタ、レンズマメ、シロツメクサ、オリーブ、ヤシ、ルリジサ、マツヨイグサ、アマニ、およびタバコ、ならびにそれらの混合物からなる群より選択される遺伝子改変植物および遺伝子改変油糧種子からなる群より選択される、請求項８記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  11. 供給源が、遺伝子改変植物、遺伝子改変油糧種子、および遺伝子改変微生物からなる群より選択され、該遺伝子改変がポリケチドシンターゼ遺伝子またはその一部の導入を含む、請求項８記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  12. 供給源が、ヤブレツボカビ目（Thraustochytriales）、渦鞭毛藻類、およびモルティエレラ属（Mortierella）からなる群より選択される微生物である、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  13. 微生物が、シゾキトリウム属（Schizochytrium）、ヤブレツボカビ属（Thraustochytrium）、およびクリプテコディニウム属（Crypthecodinium）からなる群より選択される、請求項１２記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  14. 乳幼児用調合乳組成物が微生物油の配合物を含み、かつ該配合物がヤブレツボカビ科微生物由来の油および渦鞭毛藻類微生物由来の油を含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  15. DHA：DPA(n-6)比が、約5：1〜約0.5：1、約5：1〜約3：1、約5：1〜約2：1、および約5：1〜約1：1からなる群より選択される、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  16. 約0.37 mg/Lのコレステロール〜約500 mg/Lコレステロールをさらに含む、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  17. 約60 mg/L未満の量のEPAを含む、請求項１載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  18. 乳幼児に与えられる際に約3 mg/kg/日DPA(n-6)〜約8 mg/kg/日DPA(n-6)を提供するように調合されている、請求項１記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  19. 乳幼児に栄養を与えるための製品の調製において使用するための、請求項１〜１８のいずれか一項記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物。
  20. 栄養成分、DPA(n-6)、DHA、および任意でARAを組み合わせる段階を含む、乳幼児用調合乳組成物を調製する方法であって、乳幼児に与えられる際に該組成物が少なくとも約7 mg/LのDPA(n-6)を含むように調合され、かつARA：DHAの比が約3：1未満である、方法。
  21. 乳幼児に栄養を与えるための製品の調製における、請求項１〜１８のいずれか一項記載の乳幼児用調合乳組成物の使用。
