Abstract
【解決手段】液晶表示装置は、CF基板9と、CF基板9と対向する位置に配置されたTFT基板8と、TFT基板8の額縁領域31のコーナー部に形成されたトランスファ材3と、CF基板9とTFT基板8との間の距離を一定範囲に保持するスペーサ材と、スペーサ材と同じ材料により形成され、かつ、CF基板9においてCF基板9のマザーCF基板19からの切断ライン2とトランスファ材3との間に形成された切断マーク1とを備えている。

Description
本発明の実施の形態について、図面を用いて以下に説明する。図1は、実施の形態に係る液晶表示装置の切断マーク1の一例を示す図である。なお、図は模式的なものであり、示された構成要素の正確な大きさなどを反映するものではない。また、図面が煩雑とならないよう、発明の主要部以外の省略および構成の一部簡略化などを適宜行っている。以下の図においても同様とする。さらに、以下の図においては、図中、既出の図において説明したものと同一の構成要素には同一の符号を付し、適宜その説明を省略する。
Claims (7)
- 第1基板と、
前記第1基板と対向する位置に配置された第2基板と、
前記第1,第2基板の額縁領域のコーナー部に形成されたトランスファ材と、
前記第1,第2基板間の距離を一定範囲に保持するスペーサ材と、
前記スペーサ材と同じ材料により形成され、かつ、前記第1基板において当該第1基板のマザー基板からの切断ラインと前記トランスファ材との間に形成された切断マークと、
を備えた、液晶表示装置。 - 前記切断マークは、前記トランスファ材を囲むように形成された、請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1,第2基板の表示領域を囲むシール材と、
前記切断ラインに沿って、かつ、前記第1基板において前記切断マークに対して予め定められた間隔をあけて形成された切断補助パターンとをさらに備え、
前記シール材は、前記第1,第2基板の額縁領域のコーナー部において液晶の注入口を形成する2つの突出部を有するように分割され、当該2つの突出部の先端がそれぞれ前記切断マークと前記切断補助パターンに当接するように形成された、請求項1記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記2つの突出部の先端が当接する前記切断マークおよび前記切断補助パターンは、切断前の前記マザー基板の状態において前記切断ラインを跨いで隣接する他の第1基板に形成された前記切断マークおよび前記切断補助パターンと連なるように形成され、
前記切断マークおよび前記切断補助パターンにおける前記切断ラインを跨ぐ部分は、前記切断マークおよび前記切断補助パターンにおけるそれ以外の部分よりも細く形成された、請求項3記載の液晶表示装置。 - 前記2つの突出部の先端が当接する前記切断マークおよび前記切断補助パターンは、前記スペーサ材と同じ層構造により形成された、請求項3または請求項4記載の液晶表示装置。
- 前記第1,第2基板のうちの少なくとも一方は、極薄ガラスにより形成された、請求項1〜5のいずれか1つに記載の液晶表示装置。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか1つに記載の液晶表示装置の製造方法であって、
前記切断マークまたは前記切断補助ラインは、前記スペーサ材と同時に形成された、液晶表示装置の製造方法。
