Abstract
【解決手段】金属酸化物および燐光体の混合物を調製する工程、前記混合物から素地を製造する工程、及び、還元雰囲気下で前記素地を熱処理する工程を含む方法によって得られる、第一の相が少なくとも1つの金属酸化物、例えば、酸化アルミニウム、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化マグネシウム、酸化ケイ素、酸化チタン、酸化バリウム、酸化ベリリウム、酸化カルシウム及び酸化クロムからなり、及び、第二の相が低い酸化数にある少なくとも1つの活性化元素を含む金属酸化物、例えば、Ca、Ba、Sr及び/又はMgのアルミン酸塩、Ca、Ba、Sr及び/又はMgのケイ酸塩、並びに、Ca及び/又はSrのアルミノケイ酸塩からなる持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。第一の相中の金属酸化物がイットリアで安定化されたジルコニアである持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。

(式中、Eは弾性率(elastic modulus)(またはヤング率(Young's modules))(測定値:220Gpa)、Hvはビッカース硬さ(GPa)、cは圧痕に続いて形成されたクラックの、圧痕の中心から測定される長さ、および、aは圧痕の対角線の半分の長さ)を用いて評価された。
20重量%の燐光体を含むサンプル1が以下のように調製された。
3mol%のイットリア(TOSOH Corporation製のTZ−3YS)を含む80.0gのジルコニア粉末と、1.2g(40%)のPVAおよび1.8g(60%)のPEG20000の50%水溶液からなる3.0gの有機バインダーを有する20.0gのSr4Al14O25:Eu、Dy粉末とを、200mLの蒸留水および1kgのジルコニアボールと混合する;
ジルコニアボウル中、400U/分で30分間の摩擦(attrition)/粉砕(milling);
懸濁液のろ過、ボールおよびボウルの450mLのIPAによるすすぎ、ろ過した懸濁液およびすすぎ液の噴霧乾燥。
例えば時計への適用などに適している持続性燐光性のセラミック材料を得るための希土類(RE)ドーパントを含む、2種の異なるアルミン酸ストロンチウムの可能性が調べられた。
初めの燐光体材料の粒径の、得られる性能に対する影響が、2つの異なる焼結条件について試験された。
ジルコニアスラリーに組み込まれる前の燐光体粉末の前処理の影響が、種々の焼結条件で試験された。この前処理とは、粉末を酸性水溶液中、例えば酢酸の希釈液(例えば10質量%などの濃度)など中で、70℃の温度で2〜3時間洗浄することからなる。洗浄工程は、粉体の調製物からの非晶相の除去を導くことが知られている。
複合材料中のSr4Al14O25濃度の影響が、20重量%、30重量%および50重量%の燐光材料を含むサンプルを用いて試験された。
Claims (16)
- 2つまたはそれ以上の相を含む、緻密体である持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料であって、
第一の相が少なくとも1つの金属酸化物からなり、および
第二の相が低い酸化数にある少なくとも1つの活性化元素を含む金属酸化物からなる持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。 - 前記第一の相中の金属酸化物が、酸化アルミニウム、酸化ジルコニウム、酸化マグネシウム、酸化ケイ素、酸化チタン、酸化バリウム、酸化ベリリウム、酸化カルシウムおよび酸化クロムから選択される請求項1記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 前記第一の相中の金属酸化物が、Ce、MgおよびYからなる群より選択されるドーパントを用いて安定化されている請求項1記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 前記第一の相中の金属酸化物が、イットリアで安定化されたジルコニアである請求項1記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 前記第二の相中の金属酸化物が、Ca、Ba、Srおよび/またはMgのアルミン酸塩、Ca、Ba、Srおよび/またはMgのケイ酸塩、ならびに、Caおよび/またはSrのアルミノケイ酸塩から選択される請求項1記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 前記第二の相中の金属酸化物が、アルミン酸ストロンチウムである請求項1記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 前記第二の相中の金属酸化物が、La、Ce、Pr、Nd、Pm、Sm、Eu、Gd、Tb、Dy、Ho、Er、Tm、YbおよびLuから選択される少なくとも1つの活性化元素を用いてドープされているアルミン酸ストロンチウムである請求項6記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 前記第二の相中の金属酸化物が、EuおよびDyを用いてドープされているアルミン酸ストロンチウムである請求項7記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 前記第二の相が、Eu2+/Dy3+を賦活したSr4Al14O25相である請求項8記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 2つの相の全重量に対して、第一の相の量が5〜95重量%、好ましくは40〜95重量%であり、そして第二の相の量が5〜95重量%、好ましくは5〜60重量%である請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 2つの相の全重量に対して、第一の相の量が50〜95重量%、好ましくは50〜80重量%であり、そして第二の相の量が5〜50重量%、好ましくは20〜50重量%である請求項10記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料。
- 請求項1〜11のいずれか1項に記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料を製造する方法であって、
金属酸化物および燐光体の混合物を調製する工程、
前記混合物から素地を製造する工程、および
還元雰囲気下で前記素地を熱処理する工程を含む方法。 - 製造された素地を酸化雰囲気下での第一の焼結工程において処理する工程、その後に第二の焼結工程としての還元雰囲気下での熱処理工程をさらに含む請求項11記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料を製造する方法。
- バインダー材料が混合された材料へと添加され、そして、製造された素地が第一の工程においてバインダー材料を除去するための熱処理によって処理される請求項11または12記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料を製造する方法。
- 還元雰囲気下での熱処理が、800〜1600℃の範囲の温度で行われる請求項13記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料を製造する方法。
- 還元雰囲気下での熱処理が、Ar/H2またはN2/H2の雰囲気中で行われる請求項14記載の持続性燐光性セラミック複合材料を製造する方法。
