Abstract
Description

(a)30〜48モル%、好ましくは35〜45モル%のエチレン(E)と、

ポリマー
ECTFE−cは、商品名HALAR(商標登録)500で市販されている50/50モル%のエチレン/クロロトリフルオロエチレン(E/CTFE)コポリマーであり、242℃の融点(Tm2)、42J/gの融解熱(ΔH2f)、及び18g/10分(275℃/2.16kg)のMFIを有する。

TiO2−1は、コア−シェル型の粒子から作製された紫外線遮断剤であり、Al2O3−SiO2酸化物の混合物のシェルでコーティングされたTiO2のコアを有し、これらの粒子がステアリン酸で表面処理され、ザハトレーベン化学(Sachtleben Chemie GmbH)社からHOMBITEC(商標登録)RM130Fの商品名で市販され、15nmの平均粒子径を有し、パウダーの形態で入手できる。
パウダー形態のポリマーと紫外線遮断剤粒子とを、言及した成分の間で要求された重量比を有する均一なパウダー混合物を得るために、三段階パドルミキサーを備えた急速ミキサー中で予備混合した。
次にパウダー混合物を、6個の温度ゾーン及び4mm2ホールダイを備えた二軸スクリュー30−34押出機(レイストリッツ(LEISTRITZ)社によって処理した。処理設定値を、ECTFE−c(表1)及びECTFE−1(表2)に対してそれぞれ、以下のように設定した。
薄層フィルムを製造するために、ペレットを、混合要素を無くした通常の3ゾーンスクリュー(L/D=24)を備えた45mm単軸スクリュー押出機中で処理した。使用したダイは550μmのダイギャップを有する450mm幅のフラットダイであった。ダイから出た後、溶融テープを後続の3つの冷却ロール上にキャスティングし、キャスティング速度は約50μmのフィルム厚さを得るように適合させた。条件を表3にまとめる。
上で詳述のとおり得られたフィルムを光学試験に付した。全視感透過率及びヘイズをASTM D1003に準じて、手順Aで、ガードナー・ヘイズガード・プラス(Gardner Haze−Gard Plus)装置を用いて測定した。表面粗さ又は欠陥に関連している可能性のある擬似的寄与を評価するために、試験体を空気中及び水中(すなわち、フィルム試料を水が充満した石英セル中に浸漬させて)の両方で分析した。190nm〜1100nmの波長(nm単位)の関数として紫外−可視部透過率(%単位)のグラフを、パーキネルマー・ラムダ6分光計で測定し、実施例1C(=図1)、2C(=図2)、3C(=図3)、4(=図4)及び5(=図5)からのフィルムについて、図1〜5に報告し、実施例2C、4の両方及び5(即ち紫外線遮断剤の添加によって)に関して、紫外線に対して実質的に不透過であることを示す。とは言え、可視領域での透明性は実施例4及び5からのフィルムだけで維持される。表4にまとめられた結果は異なった試験体についての3つの測定の平均である。40〜60μmの厚さを有するフィルムに対して得られた光学特性を表4にまとめる。
Claims (16)
- − 少なくとも1種の半結晶性ポリマーであって、エチレンと、クロロトリフルオロエチレン(CTFE)及びテトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)のうちの少なくとも1種とから誘導された繰り返し単位を有し、最大で35J/gの融解熱を有する、半結晶性ポリマー[ポリマー(A)]と、
− ポリマー(A)の重量に基いて0.05〜5重量%の少なくとも1種の無機紫外線遮断剤化合物の粒子であって、1〜150nmの平均粒径を有する無機紫外線遮断剤化合物の粒子と
を含有する、熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。 - 前記ポリマー(A)が、最大で30J/g、好ましくは最大で25J/gの融解熱を有する、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記ポリマー(A)が、エチレンから誘導された繰り返し単位の量を、50モル%未満で、好ましくは48モル%未満で、更に好ましくは45モル%未満で有する、請求項1又は2に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記ポリマー(A)が
(a)30〜48モル%、好ましくは35〜45モル%のエチレンと、
(b)52〜70モル%、好ましくは55〜65モル%の、クロロトリフルオロエチレン(CTFE)、テトラフルオロエチレン(TFE)又はそれらの混合物と、
(c)モノマー(a)及び(b)の合計量に基いて、0〜5モル%、好ましくは0〜2.5モル%の、1種以上のフッ素化及び/又は水素化コモノマーと
を含む、請求項3に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。 - 前記ポリマー(A)がECTFEポリマーである、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記ECTFEポリマーが、210℃を超えない、好ましくは200℃を超えない、更に好ましくは190℃を超えない溶融温度を有する、請求項5に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記ECTFEポリマーが、
(a)35〜47モル%のエチレン(E)と、
(b)53〜65モル%のクロロトリフルオロエチレン(CTFE)と
から誘導された繰り返し単位から本質的になる、請求項6に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。 - 前記少なくとも1種の無機紫外線遮断剤化合物の粒子が、最大で140nm、好ましくは最大で120nm、更に好ましくは最大で100nm、なお一層好ましくは最大で80nmの平均粒子径を有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記無機紫外線遮断材化合物が、Ce、Cu、Zn、Zr、Bi、Si、Al、Fe、Ti、Sn、Sr、及びSbのうちの1種以上の酸化物を含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記無機紫外線遮断剤化合物がTiO2及び/又はZnOを含む、請求項9に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。
- 前記少なくとも1種の無機紫外線遮断剤化合物の粒子が、
− TiO2から本質的になるコアと、
− Si、Al又はこれらの混合物のうちの少なくとも1種の酸化物から本質的になる、シェルとを有し、かつ任意選択で分散剤、安定剤、帯電防止剤などの好適なコーティング添加剤の更なるコーティングを有する、請求項10に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物。 - 請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物を製造する方法であって、
− 請求項1に記載のポリマー(A)と、
− 前記少なくとも1種の無機紫外線遮断剤化合物の粒子と
を混合することを含む方法 - 請求項1〜11に記載のいずれか一項に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物の、フィルム製造への使用。
- 請求項1〜11に記載のいずれか一項に記載の熱可塑性フルオロポリマー組成物から得られるフィルム。
- 請求項14に記載のフィルムを含む多層構造体。
- 請求項14に記載のフィルム又は請求項15に記載の多層構造体の、太陽電池モジュール向け保護フィルムとしての、輸送向け、産業及び食物包装向け、医薬品の貯蔵及び包装向けフィルムとしての、建築用膜又はキャップ材としての使用。
