Abstract

Description
本発明は、外科医により行われる手作業の縫合処置にほぼ匹敵し、すなわちそれを模倣した縫合装置を提供する。本発明の縫合装置は、現在用いられている機械的縫合方法よりもかなり使い易く、また、装置の操作中にユーザが処置をより良く目視することを可能にし、かつ、縫合プロセスのあらゆる局面において、針の動き、前進、縫合糸処理を制御し続け、それにより、針の移動時の縫合糸材の縺れを防止する。

- 縫合装置であって、
尖端および鈍端を有する縫合針を有するカートリッジであって、縫合針が軸を中心に回転可能であるカートリッジと、
針回転ドライブを有するカートリッジホルダを含むプッシャ組立体であって、カートリッジと解除可能に係合でき、かつ縫合針を軸を中心に回転させることができるプッシャ組立体と、
針回転ドライブと解除可能に係合して針回転ドライブを回転させることができるアクチュエータと、を含む縫合装置。 - 約180度より大きく約330度よりも小さい角度の弧にわたって延在する湾曲リップと、
壁部内のトラックであって、縫合針の回転中に針がこのトラックに沿った湾曲路を進むトラックと、
