Abstract
Description
− 元素状ホウ素を準備し、
− アルコールの存在下で元素状ホウ素を粉砕して、第1懸濁液を得て、
− 第1懸濁液に、アルコール中に溶解された強酸を添加して、第2懸濁液を得て、
− 第2懸濁液を還流冷却下で沸点まで加熱して、第3懸濁液を得て、
− 懸濁液中に含まれる固体材料を分離除去し、
− 減圧下で固体材料の熱処理をおこなう、
を含む、元素状ホウ素を精製するための方法に関する。
出発生成物として、それぞれ約1kgの市販のホウ素(H.C. Starck 社、グレードI)を使用する。このホウ素は、2種の異なる方法で、メタノール懸濁液(それぞれ約2Lメタノールに対して1kgのホウ素)中に粉砕し、その際、「ホウ素a」は磨砕機中で、かつ「ホウ素b」は攪拌ボールミル中で粉砕したものである。
Claims (25)
- 少なくとも96.8質量%のホウ素含量、最大1.6質量%の酸素含量、最大0.2質量%の窒素含量、30質量%又はそれ未満の結晶度及びd100−値9μm又はそれ未満、有利には6μm又はそれ未満の粒度分布を示す、元素状ホウ素。
- アニオン不純物の含量が最大0.4質量%を示す、請求項1に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- アニオン不純物が塩化物及びフッ化物であり、かつそれぞれ最大0.2質量%で存在する、請求項2に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- 最大1.0質量%の金属性不純物を含む、請求項1から3までのいずれか1項に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- 金属性不純物が、アルカリ金属又はアルカリ土類金属又は元素周期律表の第4周期の金属である、請求項4に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- アルカリ金属が最大0.4質量%の量で、有利には最大0.3質量%の量で存在する、請求項4又は5に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- 金属性不純物としてカリウム及び/又はマグネシウムが存在する、請求項4から6までのいずれか1項に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- 元素周期律表の第4周期の金属が最大0.2質量%、有利には最大0.1質量%の量で存在する、請求項4から7までのいずれか1項に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- 金属が、元素周期律表の第4周期の金属である、請求項8に記載の元素状ホウ素。
- 以下の工程:
− 元素状ホウ素を準備し、
− アルコールの存在下で元素状ホウ素を粉砕して、第1懸濁液を得て、
− 第1懸濁液にアルコール中に溶解された強酸を添加して、第2懸濁液を得て、
− 第2懸濁液を還流冷却下で沸点まで加熱して、第3懸濁液を得て、
− 懸濁液中に含まれる固体材料を分離除去し、
− 減圧下で固体材料の熱処理をおこなう、
を含む、元素状ホウ素を精製するための方法。 - 粉砕を、磨砕機又は攪拌ボールミル中で実施する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- アルコールがメタノールである、請求項10又は11に記載の方法。
- 強酸及び/又はアルコールが水不含である、請求項10から12までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 強酸が、気体状の塩化水素又はトルエンスルホン酸である、請求項10から13までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 1〜24時間に亘って還流下で加熱する、請求項10から14までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- アルコールを、酸素含量から算定される酸化ホウ素当量に対して過剰量で使用する、請求項10から15までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 還流冷却下での沸騰の際に、還流が、少なくとも1種のアルカリ金属酸化物又はアルカリ土類金属酸化物及び少なくとも1種のアルカリ金属水酸化物又はアルカリ土類水酸化物を介して導かれる、請求項10から16までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 固体を、液体の濾過、遠心分離又は蒸留によって分離除去する、請求項10から17までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 熱処理を真空下で、特に最大10−3mbar、好ましくは10−4mbarを上回らない圧力で実施する、請求項10から18までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 熱処理を真空下で、1000℃、有利には400℃の最大温度で実施する、請求項10から19までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 真空下での熱処理が、400℃の温度で、1〜3時間に亘る熱処理を含む、請求項10から20までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 不活性ガス雰囲気下、好ましくはアルゴン又はヘリウム下での熱処理によって冷却する、請求項10から21までのいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 請求項10から22までのいずれか1項に記載の方法によって得られる、元素状ホウ素。
- 超伝導性成形体、例えば超伝導性焼結体又はケーブルを製造するために使用する二ホウ素マグネシウムを製造するための、請求項1から9または23に記載のホウ素の使用。
- 請求項10から22までのいずれか1項に記載の精製方法を含む、ホウ素を製造するための方法。
