Rは、置換または非置換された炭素数1〜5のアルキル基である。)
<実施例1〜24および比較例1〜10>
エチレンカーボネート(EC)、エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)およびジエチルカーボネート(DEC)がそれぞれ3:5:2の体積比で混合された溶液に、1.0M濃度のLiPF6を溶解させて電解質前駆体を製造した。フルオロエチレンカーボネート(FEC)5重量%、ビニルエチレンカーボネート(VEC)1重量%、LiBF4の0.2重量%及びコハク酸ニトリル1重量%とアルキルベンゾニトリル化合物を、下記表1に示す種類および含量で、前記電解質前駆体に添加して電解液を製造した。
正極活物質としてLiCoO2、バインダーとしてポリフッ化ビニリデン(PVDF)および導電材としてカーボンをそれぞれ92:4:4の重量比で混合し、N−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させて正極活物質層組成物を製造した。前記正極活物質層組成物を厚さ20μmのアルミニウム箔にコーティングして乾燥および圧延後、正極を製造した。
実施例2および比較例1で製造された電解液に対してLSV(linear sweep voltametry)により分解開始電圧を測定し、その結果を図2および3に示した。
実施例2により製作されたそれぞれのリチウム2次電池を過充電する場合、電圧および温度の状態を測定してその結果を図4に示した。
実施例1〜24および比較例1〜10により製作されたそれぞれのリチウム2次電池パックをi)標準環境で1220mA、4.2V、33minカットオフで充電後、10分以上72時間以内で休止後、ii)充電後2次保護素子(thermal fuse:EYP2MP098DUK)を付着した(単一セルで評価する)。iii)パックを木板上に載せた後、950mA、10Vの定電流および定電圧で5時間充電した。iv)最高温度評価後、OCV発生および外形を観察して過充電時の安全性を評価し、その結果を下記表2に示した。
実施例1〜24および比較例1〜10により製作されたそれぞれのリチウム2次電池をi)標準環境で950mA、4.2V、0.05C(60mA)カットオフで充電後、10分以上72時間以内に休止後、ii)250℃のホットプレート上にリチウム2次電池を載せた後、iii)発生現象および外形を観察して過充電時の安全性を評価し、その結果を下記表2に示した。
Lの前の数字はテストセルの数を意味し、
L0:良好、L1:漏液、L2:閃光、L3:煙、L4:発火、L5:破裂を示す。
実施例1〜24および比較例1〜10により製作されたそれぞれのリチウム2次電池を定電流−定電圧(CC−CV)条件下で1Cで4.2Vの充電電圧まで充電し、CC条件下で1Cで3.0Vのカットオフ電圧まで放電した。この充放電を300回繰り返してサイクルによる容量維持率を測定して寿命特性を評価し、その結果を下記表2に示した。

Claims (7)
- 前記アルキルベンゾニトリル化合物は、前記電解液総量に対して0重量%超過15重量%以下で含まれる、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池用電解液。
- 前記アルキルベンゾニトリル化合物は、LSV測定時に4.90〜5.30Vでピークが存在する、請求項1に記載のリチウム2次電池用電解液。
- 正極;
負極;および
請求項1〜6のうちのいずれか一項に記載の電解液
を含む、リチウム2次電池。
