Abstract
Description
全ポリマーおよび試薬を、受領したまま使用した。低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)(公称厚さ50μm)をBPI Filmsにより供給し、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)(公称厚さ40μm)をMetal Box Co.により供給した。4−ビニルベンジルクロライド(VBC)を、0.05%のtert−ブチルカテコールおよび0.05%のニトロパラフィンを用いて安定化してAldrich(登録商標)により供給した。4−ビニルピリジン(VPy)(95%)を、100ppmヒドロキノンを用いて安定してAldrich(登録商標)により供給した。<50μScm−1の伝導性を備える脱塩水は、混合床Elgastat(登録商標)から供給した。トルエンおよびメタノールは、Fisher Scientific(英国)(SLR等級)により供給した。5M塩酸Analar滴定液を、Merck(登録商標)により供給した。トリメチルアミン(TMA)(50重量%の水溶液)、トリエチルアミン(TEA)(99.5%)、2−クロロアセトアミド(2−CA)およびジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)を、Aldrich(登録商標)により供給した。
Claims (20)
- 陰イオン交換膜を調製するための方法であって、炭化水素ポリマーフィルムを選択する工程、モノマーを用いて炭化水素ポリマーフィルムを放射線グラフトする工程、およびイオン伝導性を付与するために四級化剤を加える工程を含み、モノマーはモノマー/希釈剤混合物の形態で提示され、希釈剤はアルコールおよび炭化水素溶媒を含む方法。
- 任意のホモポリマーを除去するために適切な溶媒中で陰イオン交換膜を洗浄する工程、および一定重量へ乾燥させる工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- モノマー/希釈剤混合物は、少なくとも10容積%のアルコールを含む、請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- アルコールは、メタノールを含む、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 炭化水素溶媒は、芳香族炭化水素および脂肪族炭化水素からなる群より選択される、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 炭化水素溶媒は、トルエン、キシレンおよびベンゼンからなる群より選択される、請求項5に記載の方法。
- モノマー/希釈剤混合物のモノマー含量は、60容積%未満である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- モノマー/希釈剤混合物のモノマー含量は、30容積%から50容積%である、請求項7に記載の方法。
- モノマーは、ビニルベンゼンクロライド(VBC)およびビニルピリジン(VPy)からなる群より選択される、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 炭化水素ポリマーフィルムは、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)および高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)からなる群より選択される、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 放射線グラフト工程は、相互グラフト法である、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 放射線グラフト工程は、後照射グラフト法である、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 四級化剤は、アミン類からなる群より選択される、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 四級化剤は、アルキルアミン類からなる群より選択される、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 四級化剤は、トリメチルアミン(TMA)およびトリエチルアミン(TEA)からなる群より選択される、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 四級化剤は、塩酸(HCl)、2−クロロアセトアミド(2−CA)、およびジメチルホルムアミド(DMF)からなる群より選択される、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 四級化剤は、架橋剤である、請求項1から16のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 添付図面を参照して上記で説明した陰イオン交換膜を実質的に調製するための方法。
- 請求項1から18に記載の方法によって調製された陰イオン交換膜。
- 請求項19に記載の陰イオン交換膜を組み込んでいるアルカリ型燃料電池。
