Abstract
Description
本願は、2005年10月11日に出願された、米国仮特許出願第60/725,360号に対する優先権を主張する。
本発明は、(a)主要量の潤滑用粘度の油と、
(b)次式によって表されるアミドまたはチオアミドと、
R1R2N−C(X)R3
[式中、Xは、OまたはSであり、R1およびR2は、それぞれ独立に、少なくとも炭素原子6個のヒドロカルビル基であり、R3は、炭素原子1から6個のヒドロキシアルキル基、または前記ヒドロキシアルキル基を、そのヒドロキシル基を介してアシル化剤と縮合することによって形成する基である]
(c)窒素含有分散剤と、
(d)リン含有化合物とを含み、但し、組成物が0.1重量%未満のジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛を含有する、機械デバイスを潤滑するのに適した組成物を提供する。

窒素含有分散剤と、
リン含有化合物とを含み、但し、濃縮物が1重量%未満のジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛を含有する、潤滑用粘度の油によって希釈することによって機械デバイス用潤滑剤を調製するのに適した濃縮物をさらに提供する。
好ましい多様な特徴および実施形態が、非限定的例示によって以下で説明されるであろう。
R1R2NH
式中、R1およびR2は、それぞれ独立に、少なくとも炭素原子6個のヒドロカルビル基である(例えば、6から30個の炭素原子、または8から24個の炭素原子、または10から20、または10から18、または12から16)。R1およびR2基は、直鎖もしくは分枝でも、飽和もしくは不飽和でも、脂肪族、芳香族、または脂肪族と芳香族の混合でもよい。ある種の実施形態では、R1およびR2基は、アルキル基、特に直鎖アルキル基である。R1およびR2基は、同じでも、異なっていてもよい。適切なアミンの市販の例は、商標Armeen 2C(登録商標)で販売されており、2つのC12アルキル基を有すると考えられている。一実施形態では、アミンは、ジココアルキルアミンもしくは同族アミンを含む。ジココアルキルアミン(またはジココアミン)は、ココナツ油から誘導され、上式中の2つのR基が、主としてC12基(ある量のC8からC18も一般に存在するが)である第二級アミンである。ある種の実施形態では、基R1とR2の双方のうち1つは、2−エチルヘキシル基でよい。一実施形態では、アミドまたはチオアミドのアミン部分R1R2N−は、(2−エチルヘキシル)(水素化獣脂)アミン部分を含み、「水素化獣脂」部分は、主としてC18基を有する獣脂から誘導される。市販のジアルキルアミンは、ある量のモノアルキルアミンおよび/またはトリアルキルアミンを含有するであろうし、かかる市販の材料から形成される生成物は、本発明の範囲内であることが企図される(いかなるトリアルキルアミン成分もアミドを形成するほどの反応性はないであろうと予想されることを認識しながら)ことが理解されよう。
(a)ホウ素化脂肪族エポキシド

(c)ホウ素化アルコキシル化脂肪族アミン
(d)アルコキシル化脂肪族アミン
(e)脂肪族アミン
(f)ホウ素化グリセロールエステル
(g)グリセロールエステル
(h)脂肪酸の金属塩
(i)脂肪酸アミド
(j)脂肪族イミダゾリン
(k)カルボン酸とポリアルキレン−ポリアミンの縮合生成物
(l)硫化オレフィン
(m)サリチル酸アルキルの金属塩
およびそれらの混合物が挙げられる。
アミンとグリコール酸の縮合物の合成
(実施例1)
AkzoからのArmeen(登録商標)2C、ジココアミン、468.2g(1.2当量)を、機械的撹拌器、窒素導入口、熱電対、およびコンデンサー付Dean−Starkトラップを備えた1L4つ口フラスコに加える。フラスコおよびその内容物を撹拌しながら80℃まで加熱する。フラスコに、TCIからのグリコール酸70%水溶液130.4g(1.2当量)を添加用ロートを介して20分間かけて添加する。反応混合物を、蒸留物を収集しながら2時間かけて180℃まで加熱する。混合物を、追加の5〜1/2時間180℃に保持し、次いで終夜冷却する。その後、混合物を、70℃まで加熱し、ろ過助剤20gを添加する。混合物を、15分間撹拌し、布製パッドによってろ過する。反応生成物は、清澄な淡黄色の液体ろ過物503.6gであり、分析値は、N3.15%、TBN9.57%、TAN1.75%である。
使用されたアミンが、Armeen(登録商標)HTL8((2−エチルヘキシル)(水素化獣脂)アミン)の対応量であることを除いて、実施例1の手順を実質的に繰り返す。
潤滑剤調合物
自動トランスミッション液に典型的な成分を含有する3つの調合物を調製する。それぞれの調合物を、高粘度指数合成基材油(100℃において4mm2s−1(cSt)油60.2%、および100℃において2mm2s−1(cSt)油25.8%、全基材油86%)のブレンドにおいて調製した。以下の表において識別される摩擦調整剤に加えて、それぞれの調合物は、スクシンイミド含有分散剤(約42%の油を含む)5.0%、官能性ポリメタクリラート分散剤−摩擦調整剤(26%の油を含む)4.0%、チアジアゾール防止剤0.04%、芳香族アミンおよび硫化置換ヒドロカルビル酸化防止剤1.1%、複素環式イオウ含有シール膨潤剤0.4%、ホウ素化エステル摩擦調整剤0.2%、塩基過剰カルシウムスルホナート洗剤(50%の油を含む)0.07%、メタクリラートコポリマー粘度調整剤(40%の油を含む)0.2%、亜リン酸水素ジブチル0.11%、追加の希釈油0.18%、85%リン酸0.1%、赤色染料0.02%、および市販の消泡剤0.03%を含有する。
潤滑剤調合物
潤滑剤調合物を、以下の表に記載してあるのと同様に調製する。組成物におけるそれぞれの変形形態(記載成分の有無、および、例えば、油、分散剤、摩擦調整剤、防食剤、耐磨耗剤、流動点降下剤、補助のリンの酸、酸化防止剤の、それらの量および化学的性質)は、本発明の範囲にわたる企図された変形形態として独立におよび一般に適用可能であることを理解すべきである。

上記で参照した文献のそれぞれは、参照により本明細書に組み込まれている。実施例、または別段の明確な指示がある場合を除いて、材料の量、反応条件、分子量、炭素原子の数などを指定する本明細書の数量は全て、単語「約」によって修飾されていることを理解されたい。別段の指示がない限り、本明細書において参照されたそれぞれの化学薬品、または組成物は、異性体、副生物、誘導体、および、通常、市販級の中に存在するものと理解されている他の材料を含有する場合がある市販級の材料であると解釈されるべきである。しかし、それぞれの化学成分の量は、別段の指示がない限り、市販材料中に通常存在し得る任意の溶媒もしくは希釈油を除外して表されている。本明細書に記載された、上方および下方の量、範囲、および比の限界は、独立に合わせ得ることが理解されよう。同様に、本発明のそれぞれの要素に対する範囲および量は、任意の他の要素に対する範囲および量と一緒に使用し得る。本明細書で使用される「基本的にからなる」という表現は、考慮下にある組成物の基礎的および新規な特徴に大きく影響を及ぼさない物質を含むことを許容するものである。
Claims (26)
- 機械デバイスを潤滑するのに適した組成物であって、
(a)主要量の潤滑用粘度の油と、
(b)次式によって表されるアミドまたはチオアミドと、
R1R2N−C(X)R3
[式中、Xは、OまたはSであり、R1およびR2は、それぞれ独立に、少なくとも炭素原子6個のヒドロカルビル基であり、R3は、炭素原子1から6個のヒドロキシアルキル基、または前記ヒドロキシアルキル基を、そのヒドロキシル基を介してアシル化剤と縮合することによって形成する基である]
(c)窒素含有分散剤と、
(d)リン含有化合物と
を含み、但し、該組成物が0.1重量%未満のジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛を含有する、組成物。 - R1およびR2が、それぞれ独立に、炭素原子約8から約24個のアルキル基である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- R1およびR2が、それぞれ独立に、2−エチルヘキシル基および炭素原子約10から約18個の基からなる群から選択される、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- R1が、2−エチルヘキシル基であり、R2が、炭素原子約10から約18個の基である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記アミドまたはチオアミドのアミン部分R1R2N−が、ジココアルキルアミン部分を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- アミドまたはチオアミドのアミン部分R1R2N−が、(2−エチルヘキシル)(水素化獣脂)アミン部分を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- XがOである、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記アミドのカルボキシ部分−C(O)R3が、グリコール部分を含む、請求項7に記載の組成物。
- (b)の前記アミドまたはチオアミド量が、約0.05重量%から約10重量%である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- (b)の前記アミドまたはチオアミド量が、約0.2重量%から約5重量%である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記分散剤(c)が、ホウ素含有スクシンイミド分散剤を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記分散剤(c)が、直接アルキル化法によって作製されるアシル化剤から調製される、請求項11に記載の組成物。
- 前記分散剤(c)を無機リン化合物とさらに反応させる、請求項11に記載の組成物。
- 前記分散剤または分散剤(複数)の量が、約0.1重量%から約10重量%である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記リン含有化合物が、リン酸、亜リン酸、ホスホン酸、または任意のそのような酸のエステル;亜リン酸水素ジヒドロカルビル;ジチオリン酸ジヒドロカルビルエステル;チオリン酸トリヒドロカルビル;あるいは任意のそのような材料の塩を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記リン含有化合物が、リン酸またはその塩を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 複数のリン含有化合物が存在し、亜リン酸水素ジブチルおよびリン酸を含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 全リン含有量が、約0.01重量%から約0.30重量%である、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 洗剤、酸化防止剤、防食剤、シール膨潤剤、耐磨耗剤、消泡剤、粘度調整剤、および摩擦調整剤からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの添加剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 前記さらなる添加剤が、スルホランシール膨潤剤を少なくとも0.2重量%の量で含む、請求項19に記載の組成物。
- 前記さらなる添加剤が、トリアゾール、ジメルカプトチアジアゾール、およびそれらの誘導体からなる群から選択される防食剤を含む、請求項19に記載の組成物。
- 有機ホウ酸エステルおよび有機ホウ酸塩からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの添加剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の組成物。
- 請求項1に記載の成分を混合することによって調製される組成物。
- 機械デバイス用潤滑剤を調製するための潤滑用粘度の油による希釈に適した濃縮物であって

(c)窒素含有分散剤と、

濃縮物。 - 機械デバイスに請求項1に記載の組成物を供給するステップを含む、機械デバイスを潤滑するための方法。
- 前記機械デバイスが、自動トランスミッションである、請求項25に記載の方法。
