システムモード信号を受信するためのディジタル入力41

スマートポンプ22は流量モードで動作する。予め設定される回転数は所定の最低塗料速度を維持するのに必要な低い流量に相当する。
スマートBPR25は完全に無負荷状態(停止状態)にある。
システムは塗料ラインの圧力損失を克服するのに必要なだけの圧力下に、メーカー指定の最低流量で動作する。従って、塗料のせん断、エネルギー消費、およびポンプの磨耗が最少限に軽減される。
情報はジョブ待ち行列データによって自動的に提供される。
スマートBPR25が作動して予め設定されたシステム圧を提供する。
スマートポンプ22が圧力モードに切り替わる。圧力値は予め設定されており、コントローラ26は圧力センサー24が感知する圧力に対応する制御ループに従ってスマートポンプ22を動作させる。
アプリケータ16における需要に影響されてシステム圧が低下すると、BPR25が動的に閉じて圧力を維持する。BPR25の作用だけではシステム圧を維持できなくなると、スマートポンプ22が自動的にスピードアップして圧力を設定レベルに維持する。
ジョブ待ち行列データが塗料はこれ以上必要でないことを示唆するまで、システムはこのモードで動作し続ける。
スマートポンプ22が流量モードに切り替わる。予め設定された回転数は通路中の最低塗料速度そ維持するのに必要な流量に相当する。
スマートBPRは完全に無負荷状態(停止状態)。

Claims (25)
- 製品仕上げ設備におけるアプリケータに塗料を提供するのに好適な塗料循環システムにおいて、
システム内に塗料を循環させるためのポンプと、
上流側の塗料の圧力変動を実質的に解消するための背圧調整器と、
システム内を循環する塗料が所要の流量に維持される流量モードと、ポンプおよびBPR間における塗料圧が維持される圧力モードとのいずれかで動作するようにポンプおよびBPRを制御する制御手段とを具備する塗料循環システム。 - 流量モードでは、塗料が圧力変動に応答することなく流動できるようにBPRが作動を停止する請求項1に記載の塗料循環システム。
- BPRが自動式であり、BPRを作動および/または停止させる作動手段が設けられている請求項2に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 作動手段が圧縮空気である請求項3に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 作動手段が油圧油である請求項3に記載の塗料循環システム。
- BPRが一方の側にバネが作用し、他方の側に塗料圧が作用するダイヤフラムである請求項3に記載の塗料循環システム。
- BPRが一方の側に流体圧が作用し、他方の側に塗料圧が作用するダイヤフラムである請求項3に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 流量モードにおいて、定流量で塗料を送り込むように制御手段がポンプを制御する請求項1に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 定流量が塗料に必要な最少流量またはこれよりもやや多い低流量である請求項8に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 圧力モードにおいて、塗料圧の変動に応答して作動することによって、BPRがその上流において略一定の圧力を維持する請求項1に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 圧力モードにおいて、ポンプが一定の圧力で塗料を供給する請求項1に記載の塗料循環システム。
- ポンプが制御信号に応答して所定の圧力を維持する可変速ポンプである請求項11に記載の塗料循環システム。
- ポンプが制御信号に応答して所定の圧力を維持する可変容量ポンプである請求項11に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 制御信号の根拠となる圧力信号を提供する圧力センサーを設けた請求項1に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 圧力信号を受信し、ポンプに制御信号を送信して圧力を維持するように制御手段を構成した請求項14に記載の塗料循環システム。
- コントローラがリクエスト信号に応答して流量モードと圧力モードとの間でシステムを切り替える請求項1に記載の塗料循環システム。
- リクエスト信号が工場工程管理装置から提供される請求項16に記載の塗料循環システム。
- リクエスト信号が「ジョブ待ち行列」データ処理装置から提供される請求項16に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 制御手段がプログラマブルコンピュータデバイスに取付けられる制御カードである請求項1に記載の塗料循環システム。
- システムにおけるセンサーから信号を受信し、BPRおよびポンプへ制御信号を提供するための複数の入出力端子を制御カードに設けた請求項19に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 制御カードに、設定および監視のためのグラフィックシステムへのデータリンクを設けた請求項19に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 制御カードが、それぞれが塗装ブースに塗料を提供する複数の塗料循環システムを制御する複数のチャンネルを含む請求項19に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 複数の塗料循環システムのそれぞれが色の異なる塗料を塗装ブースに提供する請求項22に記載の塗料循環システム。
- 塗料塗装ブースと併用される塗料循環システムにおいて、
システム内を循環するように塗料を送り込むための可変速ポンプと、
活動状態においては自体に流入する塗料の圧力変動に応答して上流の塗料圧を維持し、非活動状態において塗料を自由に通過させる背圧調整器と、
流量モードおよび圧力モードのいずれかで動作するようにシステムを制御するコントローラと、
流量モードにおいて、背圧調整器を非活動状態にし、ポンプを定速度で動作させることによって最低圧で所要流量の塗料をシステム内に循環させるようにコントローラを構成したことと、
圧力モードにおいて、背圧調整器を活動状態にし、ポンプ速度を制御することによって塗装ブースにおける塗料圧を維持するようにコントローラを構成したことと、
コントローラがリクエスト信号に応答して流量モードと圧力モードとの間でシステムを切り替える作用をも行なう前記塗料循環システム。 - システム内に塗料を送り込むポンプと、自体の上流における塗料の圧力変動を実質的に解消する背圧調整器(BPR)と、ポンプおよびBPRを制御する制御手段とを含む塗料循環システムを運転して製品仕上げ設備におけるアプリケータに塗料を提供する方法において、
ポンプおよびBPRを、システム内を循環する塗料の所要の流量が維持される流量モードと、ポンプとBPRとの間における塗料の圧力が維持される圧力モードとの間で切り替える動作を含む方法。
