Abstract
【解決手段】本発明に係るリチウム二次電池用電解液は、有機溶媒にリチウム塩が溶解されているリチウム二次電池用電解液であって、PF5錯体が添加されていることを特徴とする。

Description
本発明のリチウム二次電池用電解液(以下、「電解液」という。)は、リチウム塩を溶解させた有機溶媒に、少なくともPF5錯体を添加したものである。また、本発明の電解液は、更にBF3錯体を添加してもよい。
<電解液の作成>
LiPF6を、エチレンカーボネート(EC)及びエチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)からなる混合溶媒(体積比率でEC:EMC=1:3、キシダ化学株式会社製、リチウムバッテリーグレード)に対し、露点が−80℃以下のアルゴン雰囲気ドライボックス内で溶解させ、電解質濃度が1.0モル/リットルとなる様に調製した。次に、この有機溶媒に対してPF5−EMC錯体を3重量%添加し、本実施例に係る電解液を作製した。この電解液の水分をカールフィッシャー水分計(平沼産業株式会社製、平沼微量水分測定装置AQ−7)で測定したところ、30ppm以下であることを確認した。
図2に示す構造の試験セル(有限会社日本トムセル製、商品名;トムセルTJ−AC)を用いて、リチウム二次電池を作成した。図2に於いてボルト9、カシメワッシャー10、容器体11、蓋部14、ナット16、丸板20、スプリング21は共にステンレス鋼製であり、セパレータ18はポリプロピレン製で円形状に切り出したものを使用した。リチウム二次電池の組み立ては露点が−80℃以下のアルゴンドライボックス内で行った。
PF5−EMC錯体の有機溶媒に対する添加量を1.5重量%に変更したこと以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして、電解液及びそれを用いたリチウム二次電池を作製した。
有機溶媒に添加する添加剤としてPF5−EMC錯体及びBF3−EMC錯体の混合物を用い、更に、その添加量を3.0重量%に変更したこと以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして、電解液及びそれを用いたリチウム二次電池を作製した。尚、PF5−EMC錯体とBF3−EMC錯体の混合比は、重量比で50:50とした。
電解液として、エチレンカーボネート(EC)及びエチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)からなる混合溶媒にLiPF6を溶解したものを用いたことが以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして、電解液及びそれを用いたリチウム二次電池を作製した。
有機溶媒に添加する添加剤としてBF3−EMC錯体を用いたこと以外は、前記実施例1と同様にして、電解液及びそれを用いたリチウム二次電池を作製した。
前記各実施例及び比較例で作製したそれぞれのリチウム二次電池に対し、充放電試験を行った。充放電試験は、25℃に雰囲気に保った恒温機(エスペック株式会社、商品名;TEMPERATURE CARBINET LU−112)内で実施した。即ち、試験セルを恒温機内で2時間保持した後、電流密度が1.0mAcm−2の定電流充電を行い、電圧が5mVに達した時点で定電圧充電に切り替えた。5mVで30分間保持した後、1.0mAcm−2の定電流放電を行い、電圧が1600mVに達した時点で定電圧放電に切り替え、30分間保持した。この充放電サイクルを10回繰り返した。

- 有機溶媒にリチウム塩が溶解されているリチウム二次電池用電解液であって、PF5錯体が添加されていることを特徴とするリチウム二次電池用電解液。
- 前記有機溶媒に、BF3錯体が更に添加されていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用電解液。
- 前記PF5錯体の含有量は、前記有機溶媒に対し0.1〜5重量%の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用電解液。
- 前記PF5錯体及びBF3錯体の含有量は、前記有機溶媒に対し1〜5重量%の範囲内であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池用電解液。
- 前記PF5錯体及びBF3錯体は、直鎖状又は環状の炭酸エステルを有することを特徴とする請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池用電解液。
- 前記リチウム塩は、フッ素を含有するアニオンを有することを特徴とする請求項1〜5の何れか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池用電解液。
- 前記リチウム塩は、LiBF4、LiPF6及びLiN(CF3SO2)2からなる群より選択される少なくとも1つであることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のリチウム二次電池用電解液。
- 前記有機溶媒は、炭酸エステルであることを特徴とする請求項1〜7の何れか1項に記載のリチウム二次電池用電解液。
