Claims (22)
- 複数のレンズ、及び、光ファイバを収容するための対応する複数の開口V溝を備えたV溝レンズアレイと、
該V溝レンズアレイを保持するハウジングと、
該ハウジングへの挿入のために光ファイバを保持するブーツと
を有する光ファイバフェルール。 - 複数のレンズは少なくとも1個のコリメートレンズを有する、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 複数のレンズは少なくとも1個の集束レンズを有する、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 複数の対応するV溝の各々は、複数のレンズのうちの対応するものの焦点の近傍に終端を有しており、光ファイバの各々のファイバ端は対応する終端に位置する、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 複数の対応するV溝の各々の終端内に少なくとも配設された屈折率整合媒体を更に有する、請求項4に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記屈折率整合媒体は屈折率整合ゲルである、請求項5に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記屈折率整合媒体は硬化性光学接着剤である、請求項5に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記V溝レンズアレイは、複数のレンズを保持する凹んだアパーチャを備えた枠体を含む、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記ハウジングは、光ファイバを実質的に複数の開口V溝内に保持するように構成されたカンチレバーを有する、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記ハウジングは開口部を有し、更に開口部内に押付け板が配設され、該押付け板は光ファイバを実質的に複数の開口V溝内に保持するように構成されている、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記カンチレバーが窓を含む、請求項9に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記ハウジング、V溝レンズアレイ及び光ファイバを互いに固定された関係で保持するためにハウジング内に置かれた接着剤を更に有する、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記ブーツは、該ブーツのハウジング内への挿入を制限するための少なくとも1つの段付外壁を含む、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記ハウジングは、複数のレンズの種類に対応した目に見える標識を有する、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 前記V溝レンズアレイは、ハウジングよりも高い精度で製造されている、請求項1に記載の光ファイバフェルール。
- 複数のレンズ、及び、光ファイバを収容するための対応する複数の開口V溝を備えたV溝レンズアレイと、
該V溝レンズアレイを保持するハウジングと、
該ハウジングへの挿入のために光ファイバを保持するブーツと、
内部に配設された光ファイバフェルールを備えたコネクタハウジングと
を有する光ファイバコネクタ。 - 光ファイバフェルールを組立てる方法であって、
複数のレンズ、及び、光ファイバを収容するための対応する複数の開口V溝を備えたV溝レンズアレイを提供する段階と、
前記光ファイバを複数の開口V溝の内の対応するものの中に置く段階と、
前記V溝レンズアレイをハウジングと結合し、光ファイバをハウジング内に保持する段階とを含む方法。 - 前記光ファイバをブーツ内のチャンネルを通して送る段階と、
前記光ファイバをハウジング内のチャンネルを通して送る段階と
を更に有する、請求項17に記載の方法。 - 前記光ファイバを複数の開口V溝の中に置く段階の前に、
前記光ファイバを取囲むジャケットの一部を除去する段階と、
前記光ファイバをへき開して、光ファイバのへき開した端部を提供する段階と、
前記光ファイバのへき開した端部を滑らかにする段階と
を更に有する、請求項17に記載の方法。 - 複数の対応するV溝の各々の終端及び光ファイバの端部に実質的に接近して屈折率整合ゲル又は硬化性光学接着剤を置く段階を更に有する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記ハウジングの後方開口部にブーツを結合する段階を更に有する、請求項17に記載の方法。
- 前記光ファイバをハウジング内に保持するためにハウジング内に接着剤を置く段階を更に有する、請求項17に記載の方法。
