Abstract
Description
本発明によれば、断熱材料が接合される布地は好適には上述したような適宜な広範囲の布地のいずれかである。特に好ましい布地には、織布または不織材料(不織布)、合成または非合成材料、例えばナイロン、ポリエステル、アラミドおよび/または綿が含まれる。当然であるが、本発明の範囲内において他の材料を布地の構成材とすることもできる。
本発明の物品に組み込まれる断熱材料は、好適には、いずれかの合成または非合成の断熱材料でも良い。適切な断熱材料の例としては、ダウン製断熱材料、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン、連続フィラメントのポリエステル、などであり、これらの組合せないし混合物であっても良い。当然であるが、その他の断熱材料も本発明では使用でき、そのような広範囲の断熱材料は当業者には公知である。
本発明によれば、浴は、好適には、フッ素重合体のような疎水性を付与する材料(疎水性付与剤)の水または溶剤ベースのブレンド(混合物)または液(溶液)であり、さらに湿潤剤および/または硬化剤を含ませても良い。フッ素重合体からなる付与剤は、好適にはフッ化炭素であるが、あるいはアクリルフッ素重合体分散液(acrylic fluoropolymer dispersion)や、シリコン処理されたものなどの、その他の適宜な材料を使用できる。湿潤剤は、好適にはアミン材料(アミン系材料)であり、特にSolutia,Inc.のResimene(登録商標)のようなメラミン−ホルムアルデヒド樹脂溶液、メラミンおよび/または水ベースのイソシアネートなどが使用される。浴中での断熱材料の処理の結果、処理された表面上にフッ素重合体(フッ素ポリマー)の単分子の層が堆積すると考えられる。
上記したように、布地と断熱材料は好適には一緒に結合され、好ましくは不連続の結合がなされる。
Claims (21)
- 繊維面を備えた繊維を有する繊維状材料と、繊維面上の疎水性材料とを有してなる、疎水性の断熱材料。
- 疎水性材料が、繊維面上の、フッ素重合体の単分子の層からなる、請求項1記載の断熱材料。
- 繊維状材料が、合成繊維、合成でない繊維およびこれらの組合せからなるグループから選択されたものである、請求項1記載の断熱材料。
- 繊維状材料が、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン、ダウン、連続フィラメントポリエステル、およびこれらの組合せからなるグループから選択されたものである、請求項3記載の断熱材料。
- 繊維が、硬化剤処理された繊維であり、未処理の繊維よりも剛性が大きい、請求項1記載の断熱材料。
- 請求項1記載の断熱材料、および
布地を有してなり、
複数の不連続の結合点において断熱材料が布地に接合されている、断熱性の布地。 - 布地が、ナイロン、綿、アラミド、ポリエステル、ポリオレフィン糸、ポリエチレン、ポリプロピレン、セルロース系材料、ウール、植物繊維、およびこれらの組合わせからなるグループから選択された織布または不織材料である、請求項6記載の断熱性の布地。
- 布地がウレタン接着剤で断熱材料に接合されている、請求項6記載の断熱性の布地。
- 布地と断熱材料との結合点には疎水性材料が実質的に存在しない、請求項6記載の断熱性の布地。
- 疎水性材料が布地上および繊維面上に存在する、請求項9記載の断熱性の布地。
- 布地が約5オンス(141.75g)以下の重量を有している、請求項6記載の断熱性の布地。
- 布地が約2オンス(56.7g)以下の重量を有している、請求項6記載の断熱性の布地。
- 疎水性の断熱材料を作るための方法であって、
繊維面を備えた繊維を有する繊維状材料を用意するステップと、
繊維面上に疎水性材料を付けるステップとを有してなる、方法。 - 付けるステップが、疎水性を付与する材料の浴中に繊維状材料を浸し、これにより繊維面上に疎水性材料を付けることを有してなる、請求項13記載の方法。
- 用意するステップが、不連続な結合点において布地に接合された繊維状材料を有してなる断熱性の布地を用意するステップからなり、および付けるステップが疎水性材料の浴中に断熱性の布地を浸することを有してなる、請求項13記載の方法。
- 付けるステップの後に、断熱材料が布地から下方に垂れ下がる位置で、断熱布地を乾燥させるステップをさらに有してなる、請求項15記載の方法。
- 浴が、水または溶剤ベース中に疎水性付与剤が入った溶液からなる、請求項14記載の方法。
- 浴が、湿潤剤、硬化剤およびアルコールの少なくとも1つをさらに有してなる、請求項17記載の方法。
