Abstract
Description
(A) 少なくとも1つの表面を有する光透過性基板を提供する工程、
(C) 表面の少なくとも一部を覆って偏光性染料を含有する偏光層を形成する工程、
(D) 偏光層を覆って、偏光層に接する、保護層を形成する工程、
を含む、上述した、本発明の偏光用品を作成する方法であって、
工程(A)と(C)の間に付加工程:
(B) 偏光層と基板の間に、偏光層に接する、無機中間層を被着する工程、
があり、工程(C)がさらに:
(C1) 工程(B)で被着された無機中間層の基板から遠い側の面上に複数の微細溝を形成する工程、及び
(C2) 工程(C1)で形成された微細溝を覆って、微細溝に接する、偏光層を被着する工程、
を含むことを特徴とする方法である。
(A1) 基板と無機中間層の間に無機中間層とは異なる少なくとも1つの密着促進無機下地層を形成する工程、
を含み、工程(B)において、無機中間層は工程(A1)で形成された無機下地層を直接覆って形成され、無機下地層に接する。
−直接に、または結合下地層を介して、基板の外表面に固着させられた高分子材層、
−高分子材層上の、偏光特性を有する(1つまたはそれより多くの)着色剤を含有するフィルム、及び
−(1つまたはそれより多くの)着色剤を含有するフィルム上の保護層、
を含む積層構造を有する。
(A) 少なくとも1つの表面を有する光透過性基板を提供する工程、
(C) 表面の少なくとも一部を覆って偏光層を形成する工程、
(D) 偏光層を覆って、偏光層に接する、保護層を形成する工程、
を含む方法であって、
工程(A)と(C)の間に付加工程:
(B) 偏光層と基板の間に、偏光層に接する、無機中間層を被着する工程、
があり、さらに工程(C)が:
(C1) 工程(B)で被着された無機中間層の基板から遠い側の面に複数の実質的に平行な微細溝を形成する工程、及び
(C2) 工程(C1)で形成された微細溝を覆い、微細溝に接する、偏光性染料を含有する偏光層を被着する工程、
を含むことを特徴とする方法である。
(A1) 基板と無機中間層の間に無機中間層とは異なる少なくとも1つの密着強化無機下地層を形成する工程、
をさらに含み、
工程(B)において、無機中間層は工程(A1)で形成された無機下地層を直接覆って形成され、無機下地層に接する。
Intercast Europe SPAからNXTの商品名で販売されているポリウレタン−ユリアプラスチックレンズを、樹脂供給者からの推奨ガイドラインにしたがい、HI-GARD1080コーティングで被覆した。最終ハードコートの厚さは2〜3μmであった。表面洗浄後、100ナノメートル厚SiO2コーティングを、SiO2被着前にハードコートの上に被着した薄いクロム膜を密着強化層として用いて、真空蒸着した。
偏光効率は沸騰水試験前に97%であった。
具体例1で述べた方法と、密着強化層及びSiO2層を省略した以外は同じ方法を再現した。したがってHI-GARD1080ハードコートに直接に溝をつけた。

Claims (10)
- 少なくとも1つの表面を有する光透過性基板、前記表面の少なくとも一部を覆う偏光層及び前記偏光層を覆う保護層を備える偏光用品において、前記基板と前記偏光層の間に、前記偏光層に接し、前記基板の組成とは異なる組成を有する、無機中間層があることを特徴とする偏光用品。
- 前記偏光層が有機偏光性染料を含有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の偏光用品。
- 前記偏光層がその場で被着された層であることを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の偏光用品。
- 前記無機中間層が前記基板から遠い側の面上に複数の実質的に平行な微細溝を有し、前記偏光層が前記中間層の前記溝付面上に直接に被着された有機偏光性染料を含有することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれか1項に記載の偏光用品。
- 前記無機中間層が、ケイ素酸化物、金属酸化物あるいはこれらの同等の混合物または組合せを含有することを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれか1項に記載の偏光用品。
- 前記基板と前記無機中間層の間に前記無機中間層の密着を促進する少なくとも1つの無機下地層をさらに備え、前記無機下地層は前記無機中間層と組成が異なることを特徴とする請求項1から5のいずれか1項に記載の偏光用品。
- 偏光用品を作成する方法であって、
(A) 少なくとも1つの表面を有する光透過性基板を提供する工程、
(C) 前記表面の少なくとも一部を覆う偏光層を形成する工程、及び
(D) 前記偏光層を覆い、前記偏光層に接する、保護層を形成する工程、
を含む方法において、
前記工程(A)と前記工程(C)の間に工程、
(B) 前記偏光層と前記基板の間に、前記偏光層に接する、無機中間層を形成する工程、
が付加されており、さらに前記工程(C)が、
(C1) 前記工程(B)において被着された前記無機中間層の前記基板から遠い側の面上に複数の実質的に平行な微細溝を形成する工程、及び
(C2) 前記工程(C1)において形成された前記微細溝を覆い、前記微細溝に接して、偏光性染料を含有する偏光層を被着する工程、
を含む、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記工程(C2)において、前記偏光性染料の少なくとも一部が前記微細溝内に被着されるように、前記偏光層が前記微細溝を覆ってその場で被着されることを特徴とする請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記工程(A)の後に、付加工程、
(A1) 前記基板と前記無機中間層の間に、前記無機中間層とは異なる少なくとも1つの密着促進無機下地層を形成する工程、
を含み、
前記工程(B)において、前記無機中間層が、前記工程(A1)において形成された前記無機下地層を直接に覆って形成され、前記無機下地層に接する、
ことを特徴とする請求項7または8に記載の方法。 - 前記工程(B)において、前記無機中間層が、ケイ素酸化物、金属酸化物あるいはこれらの同等の混合物または組合せで形成されることを特徴とする請求項7から9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
