Abstract
【解決手段】書込ヘッドを用いて、複数のデータトラックをデータ担体上に同時に記録し、データトラックを順次連続してデータ部分に区分し、データ部分を、それぞれ1つの始端領域及び1つの有効領域に分割し、複数のデータトラックのうちの少なくとも1つを、書込ヘッド又はヘッドユニットのトラッキングコントロール用の1次コントロールトラックとして使用し、各データ部分の始端領域内に、少なくとも1つの第2のコントロールトラックを記録し、該コントロールトラックを、データ部分の有効領域全体に亘っては延在させない。

Description
データ部分21の始端領域22が、磁気光学変換器4の近傍を通過する間、3つのサーボトラッキング装置18a..18cは全て、プリプロセッシング段16及びサーボコントローラ17を用いて評価され、並びに、場合によっては、トラッキングプレート9の位置が調整されて、トラッキングを改善することができる。3つのサーボトラック18a..18cの評価により、データトラック全てに対して良好にトラッキングすることができるようになるが、データ担体及び評価容量に比較的多くのスペースを必要とする。更に、サーボトラック全体の評価により、トラッキングコントロールが遅くなる。データ部分21の始端領域22内では、このことは、何れにせよ何ら影響しない。と言うのは、データ部分21の始端領域22内に記憶されたデータにより、評価電子回路の同期化が達成されるに過ぎないからである。

Claims (9)
- データをデータ担体上に記録する方法において、
方法は、以下のステップを有しており、即ち、
a)書込ヘッド(24)を用いて、複数のデータトラック(1)をデータ担体(2)上に同時に記録し、前記データトラック(1)を順次連続してデータ部分(21)に区分し、前記データ部分(21)を、それぞれ1つの始端領域(22)及び1つの有効領域(23)に分割し、前記複数のデータトラックのうちの少なくとも1つを、書込ヘッド(24)又はヘッドユニットのトラッキングコントロール用の1次コントロールトラック(18a)として使用し、
b)更に、各データ部分の始端領域(22)内に、少なくとも1つの2次コントロールトラック(18b,18c)を記録し、該コントロールトラックを、前記データ部分の有効領域全体に亘っては延在させない
ことを特徴とする記録方法。 - 単数乃至複数の2次コントロールトラック(18a,18b)を、始端領域上に限定する請求項1記載の記録方法。
- 各データ部分の始端領域内に、再生時に読み出しユニットの同期化に使用するデータを記録し、各データ部分(21)の有効領域(23)内に有効データを記録する請求項1記載の記録方法。
- 1次コントロールトラック(18a)を、データ担体(2)上のほぼ真ん中に記録する請求項1記載の記録方法。
- 各データ部分(21)の始端領域(22)内に、2つの別のコントロールトラック(18a,18b)を、データ担体(2)上のほぼ縁部に記録する請求項1記載の記録方法。
- 相互に平行に設けられた複数のデータトラックを有するデータ担体であって、前記データトラックは、データ部分(21)に分割されており、前記データ部分の各々は、始端領域及び有効領域に細分割されており、1次コントロールトラック(18a)が前記データ部分(21)内に延在しているデータ担体において、
2次コントロールトラック(18b,18c)が設けられており、前記2次コントロールトラックは、それぞれのデータ部分(21)のそれぞれの始端領域(22)内にのみ延在していることを特徴とするデータ担体。 - 1次コントロールトラック(18a)は、データ担体上のほぼ真ん中に配設されている請求項6記載のデータ坦体。
- 2次コントロールトラック(18b,18c)は、それぞれのデータ部分(21)の始端領域(22)内のデータ坦体の縁部の付近に配設されている請求項6記載のデータ坦体。
- 前記データ坦体は、磁気テープである請求項6記載のデータ坦体。
