【効果】コネクタレセプタクルの外形サイズを大きくしないで配線基板に対するコネクタレセプタクルの接合強度を向上させることができる。

Description
請求項1の発明にかかるコネクタレセプタクルは、下記のように構成されている。
このコネクタレセプタクルにおいては、プラグが挿脱される開口部7を有する金属シェル1内にそのプラグが接続されるポスト9を設け、このポスト9に設けた複数の信号端子部10を開口部7に対する反対側で金属シェル1の底壁部3の端縁部3aに面して露出させてプラグ挿脱方向Xに対し直交する方向Yへ底壁部3の端縁部3aに沿って並設している。この金属シェル1と一体に形成されて各信号端子部10とともに配線基板18に半田付けされる保持突部11を、金属シェル1の底壁部3の端縁部3aから突出させて各信号端子部10の並設方向Yの両側に配置している。
請求項1から請求項3のうちいずれかの請求項に記載のコネクタレセプタクルの各保持突部11の半田付け面11aが接合される配線基板18の半田付け部20において、底壁部3の端縁部3aに対する各保持突部11の境界部13aに面する部分に欠損部20a,20bを形成している。
図1(a)に示すように、金属シェル1は、下側の底壁部3と上側の天壁部4と左右両側壁部5,6とを有する筒体2を備えている。この金属シェル1において筒体2の前側にある開口部7に対する反対側で筒体2の後側にある開口部は、図1(b)に示すように、成形品である蓋壁8により塞がれている。この蓋壁8の内側にはポスト9が設けられている。この蓋壁8を筒体2の後側に挿着した状態では、図3(b)に示すようにこのポスト9が金属シェル1内に収容される。図示しないプラグの端子は金属シェル1内に開口部7を通して挿脱されてポスト9に接続される。このポスト9に設けられた複数の信号端子部10は、図2(a)(b)に示すように、金属シェル1の底壁部3の後端縁部3aに面して露出してプラグ挿脱方向である前後方向Xに対し直交する左右方向Yへ底壁部3の後端縁部3aに沿って並設されている。
* 各信号端子部10の並設方向Yの両側で底壁部3の端縁部3aに面するスペースを有効利用して各保持突部11を配置しているので、図5に示す従来のコネクタレセプタクルと比較して、平面側から見たコネクタレセプタクルの外形サイズが大きくならない。
・ 前記実施形態において、各保持突部11の半田付け面11aのうち縦突部14の半田付け面11aを領域S内に配設しているが、各保持突部11の半田付け面11aのうち縦突部14の半田付け面11aに加えて横突部15及び基端突部13の半田付け面11aの一部または全部を領域S内に配設したりしてもよい。
・ 前記実施形態において、各保持突部11の半田付け面11aがなす平面P11と、各脚突部16の半田付け面16aがなす平面P16とは、各信号端子部10の半田付け面10aがなす平面P10に対し極僅かな隙間を有しているが、これらの平面P11,P16,P10を互いに一致させてもよい。
Claims (4)
- プラグが挿脱される開口部を有する金属シェル内にそのプラグが接続されるポストを設け、このポストに設けた複数の信号端子部を開口部に対する反対側で金属シェルの底壁部の端縁部に面して露出させてプラグ挿脱方向に対し直交する方向へ底壁部の端縁部に沿って並設したコネクタレセプタクルにおいて、この金属シェルと一体に形成されて各信号端子部とともに配線基板に半田付けされる保持突部を、金属シェルの底壁部の端縁部から突出させて各信号端子部の並設方向の両側に配置したことを特徴とするコネクタレセプタクル。
- 前記各信号端子部の半田付け面を並設方向へ結ぶ領域内に、配線基板に対する各保持突部の半田付け面のうち少なくとも一部を配設したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のコネクタレセプタクル。
- 前記底壁部の端縁部に対する各保持突部の境界部において各信号端子部の並設方向でなす寸法を、各保持突部において各信号端子部の並設方向でなす寸法よりも小さく設定したことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載のコネクタレセプタクル。
- 請求項1から請求項3のうちいずれかの請求項に記載のコネクタレセプタクルの各保持突部の半田付け面が接合される配線基板の半田付け部において、底壁部の端縁部に対する各保持突部の境界部に面する部分に欠損部を形成したことを特徴とする配線基板に対するコネクタレセプタクルの実装構造。
