Abstract

本发明公开一种可组装于电路板一侧缺口内的电连接器,其包括绝缘本体、导电端子及可将电连接器固定于电路板的固定装置,导电端子具有延伸出绝缘本体以固定于电路板的接脚,该接脚电性连接电路板的线路,固定装置与接脚分别具有可固定于电路板表面的上、下接触面,两者的上接触面在同一平面上,且下接触面亦在同一平面上,以实现电连接器可根据需要自由地固定于电路板正面或背面,以同时满足电路板布线及便利使用的需要。

Description

电连接器【技术领域】本发明有关一种电连接器,尤其涉及一种可固接在电路板预设缺口内的电 连接器。 【背景技术】现在,随着电子设备的小型化、薄型化发展,其上设有的电连接器随之亦变小、变薄。比如笔记本电脑的USB (Universal Serial Bus)连接器,其包括 绝缘本体、收容于绝缘本体且延出绝缘本体外的导电端子及包围绝缘本体以提 供防电磁干扰的金属遮蔽壳体, 一般在遮蔽壳体的两侧延伸或由上向下扭斤裂形 成焊接脚,连接器借助端子的焊接脚与遮蔽壳体的焊接脚固定于电路板。现在, 为了降低电连接器在电路板上的高度,采用沉板式组装,如台湾专利公告第 392971号所揭示的电连接器,即电路板设有缺口, USB连接器放置于缺口内, 遮蔽壳体两侧延伸的焊接脚从其中部横向延伸即可,如此,可降低电连接器的 高度。另一方面,尽量合理布置电子装置内的电子元件或电路板的布线也成了 缩小尺寸的一有效方法,比如,将电连接器固定于电路板的反面,如台湾专利 公告第521888号专利所揭示的电连接器,但是,该电连接器利用增加一金属遮 蔽壳体来焊接于电路板的反面,以保证对接连接器仍可以正方向插入电连接器(这是为了不影响使用者插接的便利性),当然这将增加原材料及成本。所以 希望能设计出一种新的电连接器,其能根据电路板的布线需要焊接于正面或 背面,且仍可以保证使用者插接便利性。【发明内容】本发明所要解决的技术问题是提供 一 种能方便使用者的使用及电路板布 线的需要而焊接于电路板正反两面的电连接器。为解决上述技术问题,本发明电连接器可组装亍电路板一侧的缺口内,其 包括绝缘本体、导电端子及可将电连接器固定于电路板的固定装置,导电端子 具有延伸出绝缘本体以固定于电路板的接脚,该接脚电性连接电路板的线路,固定装置与接脚分别具有可固定于电路板表面的上、下接触面,两者的上接触 面为同一平面,且下接触面亦为同一平面与现有技术相比,本发明电连接器通过固定装置与端子分别具有同平面的 上下接触面,可实现根据需要自由地固定于电路板的正面或背面。作为本发明的改进,固定装置可位于电连接器两侧的中部,以保证电连接 器的中心与电路板同高,实现低高度组装。 【附图说明】图l是本发明电连接器未组装于电路板的立体图。图2是图1电连接器组装于电路板的立体图,其中电连接器焊接于电路板 的JL面。图3是图2另一角度的视图,以显示电路板的底面。 图4是图1的电连接器的立体分解图。 图5是电连接器焊接于电路板背面的立体图。 图6是图5另一角度的视图,以显示电路板的底面。【具体实施方式】如图1所示,本发明电连接器100是组装于电路板200。如图4所示,电连接器100包括绝缘本体1、收容于绝缘本体1的导电端子2 及包围绝缘本体1以防电磁干扰的金属遮蔽壳体3。绝缘本体1包括矩形基体10 及自基体向前延伸的舌板ll,若干通槽12自后向前贯穿基体10及舌板11,端子 2则自后向前组装于该通槽12内,其中端子的千涉部21固定于基体10上的通槽 内,自干涉部21向前延伸的接触部20位于舌板11上的通槽内,自千涉部21向后 延伸的接脚22则延伸出绝缘本体1。遮蔽壳体3由一金属片沖压而形成一与绝缘 本体l相对应的矩形外壳,其两侧分别沖压出片状体30,该等片状体30向外弯 折,形成可焊接于电路板200的固定脚31,遮蔽壳体3还沖压出若干弹片32、 321 及将其稳定固持于绝缘本体1的固持片33、 331,该等结构在电连接器,尤其是 USB连接器中均属于熟知技术,在此不再赘述。组装后的电连接器100结构如图 1所示,端子2的接脚22延伸出绝缘本体1,且端子接脚22与遮蔽壳体固定脚31 具有同样的厚度W,这将在下文详细描述。随后,该电连接器将会根据需要焊接 于电路+反200。请参阅图1至图3所示,为描述方便,下面将图1所示的电路板200的上表面 定义为电路斧反200的正面,并于该表面标示S,此时电连接器100的接插方式为 正方向对接,且将此时M所指的那面为固定脚31与端子2接脚22的上表面,另一 面为下表面;同理,将电路板200的下表面定义为背面,并于该表面标示C(如 图3所示)。电路板200于一边缘设有一缺口4,缺口4两侧设有焊接垫片5,另一 侧设有端子焊接部6,电路板上的线路(未图示)连接该端子焊接部6以形成信 号传输线路。该电连接器100收容于缺口4内,端子的接脚22对应焊接于端子焊 接部6,遮蔽壳体的固定脚31对应焊接于焊接垫片5 (如图2所示),如此,电 连接器100固定于电路板200的正面S,图3则显示了图2的底视图。上述电连接 器100与电路板200的组装方式与现有的电连接器类似,端子2接脚22的接触面 与遮蔽壳体3固定脚31的接触面位于同一平面,如此,才能保证两者稳定焊接, 此时接脚22及固定脚31与电路板焊接的接触面为两者的下表面。在电路板200受布线影响时,比如本实施例的电路板2OO需要在背面布线, 即电连接器的端子2需要焊接于电路板200的下表面C,本发明即提供了这样的 电连接器。请参图5及图6所示,电连接器200按可正向对接的方式组装于电路 板200的缺口4内,但端子接脚22及遮蔽壳体的固定脚31焊接于电路板的下表面 C(如图6所示),此时的接脚22与固定脚31的接触面为两者的上表面,即M面, 接脚22与固定脚31的接触面位于同一平面上。从另一角度而言,本实施例端子 接脚22与遮蔽壳体的固定脚31具有同样的高度W,才保证两者的接触面彼此平行,两者根据需要焊接于电路板的正面或反面。而且,在本实施例中,遮蔽壳 体3的固定脚31自遮蔽壳体两侧的中部弯折,电连接器100的中心与电路板处于 同一位置,达到了两者低高度结合。由上述可知,端子2的接脚22用以与电路板200建立电性连接,而遮蔽壳体 3的固定脚31用以进一步将电连接器100固定于电路板,属于固定装置,当然, 若固定脚31连接电路板上的接地线路,亦可完成两功能。所以,本发明并不仅 限于上述实施例,比如可利用螺合元件将固定脚22固定于电路板200.当然仍 要保证固定脚的厚度需与端子的厚度一样,以实现端子两面焊接。还有,于部 分电连接器中,并不是采用作为外壳的遮蔽壳体来连接电路板,比如,有些电 池连接器直接利用绝缘本体两侧的凸缘(即固定装置)固定于电路板,当然亦得与端子的厚度一样,如此,亦可达到端子两面焊接的 效果。另,在上述实施例中,固定装置与端子具有同样高度,以实现固定装置与 端子的上、下表面分别处于同一平面上。同样,在有些连接器需要以一定角度 焊接电路板时,只要将固定装置以与端子同样倾斜的角度来设计其厚度时,即 将固定装置的需与电路板接触的两接触面分别与端子的对应接触面处于同一 平面上,如此亦可达到本发明的实际效果。上述实施例的固定装置使得电连接器不仅能保持正方向接插方式,而且也 可反方向接插方式,总之,该电连接器可根据需要以比较自由的方式组装于电 路板的缺口内。

Claims (10)

1.一种电连接器,其可组装于电路板一侧的缺口内,其包括绝缘本体、导电端子及可将电连接器固定于电路板的固定装置,导电端子具有延伸出绝缘本体以焊接于电路板的接脚,固定装置与接脚可固定于电路板的表面,且均具上、下接触面,其特征在于:该固定装置与端子接脚具有同样的厚度,可根据需要将上接触面或下接触面固定于电路板表面。
2. 如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:电连接器包括包围绝缘本 体的遮蔽壳体,其于两侧壁的中部弯折出固定脚,形成上述固定装置。
3. —种电连接器,其可组装于电路板一侧的缺口内,其包括绝缘本体、导 电端子及可将电连接器固定于电路板的固定装置,导电端子具有延伸出绝缘本 体以固定于电路板的接脚,该接脚电性连接电路板的线路,固定装置与端子接 脚分别可固定于电路板的表面,且均具有上、下接触面,其特征在于:该端子 接脚与固定装置的上接触面为同一平面,且两者的下接触面亦为同一平面。
4. 如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:电连接器包括金属遮蔽壳 体,自其两側延伸出固定脚,形成上述固定装置。
5. 如权利要求3所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体两侧延伸出可固 定于电路板的凸缘,该凸缘形成上述固定装置。
6. 如权利要求4所述的电连接器,其特征在于:固定脚自遮蔽壳体两侧的 中部弯折,电连接器的中心与电路板同高。
7. 如权利要求6所述的电连接器,其特征在于:该固定装置焊接固定于电 路板。
8. 如权利要求7所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体包括基体及自基 体向前延伸的舌板, 一通槽贯穿基体及舌板,端子包括固定于基体通槽内的干 涉部、位于舌板通槽内的接触部,上述接脚自干涉部向后延伸。
9. 如权利要求8所述的电连接器,其特征在于:遮蔽壳体包围绝缘本体, 其上设有冲压出的弹片及固持片,该固持片用以将遮蔽壳体固定于绝缘本体。
10. 如权利要求4或5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:该固定装置通过螺合 元件固定于电路板。
