Abstract
【解決手段】安定剤は、無水マレイン酸を塩基性触媒下で、OH官能基が3〜8価であり、分子量が3,000〜15,000であるポリエーテルポリオールを反応させた後に、エチレンオキサイドを付け加える方法によって製造され、熟成及び二量体化を通して安定剤自体の分子量と官能基を高めることによって、巨大分子量(5,000〜30,000)、高官能基(OH官能基が6〜10価)、3,000〜15,000cps/25℃の粘度を有する安定剤を製造する。誘導されたポリマーポリオールは既存の製品より低粘度を有するという特性があり、最終ポリウレタン発泡体の物性向上に寄与する。

Description
本発明の安定剤合成及びポリマーポリオール重合に用いられた化合物と、略号及び概念に対する説明は下記のとおりである。
ポリオールB:グリセリン開始剤にプロピレンオキサイドとエチレンオキサイドを反応させたポリオール。OH価:34、平均分子量:4,950、粘度:750cps/25℃
ポリオールC:グリセリン開始剤にプロピレンオキサイドが単独反応したポリオール。OH価:56、分子量:3,000、粘度:450cps/25℃
ポリオールD:グリセリン開始剤にプロピレンオキサイドとエチレンオキサイドを反応させたポリオール。OH価:56、分子量:3,000、粘度:410cps/25℃
MAN:無水マレイン酸(Maleic anhydride)
T−9:オクチル酸第1スズ
T−80:2,4−トルエンジイソシアネート、2,6−トルエンジイソシアネートの80:20重量比率の混合物(東洋化学製品)
SM:スチレンモノマー(Stylene Monomer)
AN:アクリロニトリル(Acrylo Nitrile)
AIBN:アゾビスイソブチロニトリル(Azo bis isobutyronitrile)
EB:エチルベンゼン(Ethyl Benzene)
n−DDM:n−ドデシルメルカプタン(n−Dodecyl mercaptane)
KOH:水酸化カリウム(Potassium Hydroxide)
EO:エチレンオキサイド(Ethylene Oxide)
OH価:ポリオール単位グラムに存在するOH基の当量をKOHのmgに換算した値(過剰の無水フタル酸/ピリジン溶液でエステル化し、残る無水フタル酸をKOH溶液で滴定。ASTM D 4274−94の方法によって測定。)
粘度:ブルックフィールド粘度計使用(Model DV−II+Viscometer)、単位:cps/25℃
GPC:Gel Permeation Chromatography−SHIMADZU(LC20AD)
実施例1(安定剤合成SB.1)
50L高圧反応器にポリオールA19.32kgとKOH3.5gを入れて窒素雰囲気で撹拌して110℃まで昇温させる。温度を維持しながら10Torr条件で減圧脱水(水分含量0.05%以下)させる。水分含量とKOH%を測定する。温度を80℃に下げMAN210gを投入する。反応器に窒素を置換させて酸素含量(ppm)を測定する。窒素置換を繰り返して酸素含量を50〜60ppmに合わせる。温度を110℃まで昇温させた後、温度を維持しながらEO470gを投入する。EO投入完了後、窒素を充填させ圧力を4.8KGまで上げる。時間によるA.V(酸価)と粘度を測定して酸価は0.5以下、そして所望の粘度で反応を止め、10Torr条件で未反応EOを除去する。結果物の粘度は7,600cps/25℃、酸価は0.03、平均分子量16,200である。
本発明の比較例として安定剤を米国特許第4,550,194号の実施例51と同じ方法で製造した。
3リットル反応器にコンデンサーと撹拌器を備えポリオールD180gとEB180gを入れた後、窒素雰囲気下で120℃まで昇温させる。撹拌下で115〜125℃を維持しながら、既に準備しておいた単量体混合物[ポリオールD846g、SM360g、AN360g、AIBN10.8g、安定剤(SB.1)72g]を2時間にわたって連続投入する。投入が終わった後、30分間熟成させる。温度を125℃まで上げ、5mmHgの真空で3時間脱気して未反応単量体とEBを除去する。固形分含量は約40%、粘度は5,900cps/25℃である。
前記実施例11と同じ方法でポリマーポリオールを製造するが、次の表2に示したようにポリオール種類(ポリオールBまたはD)と添加量、SM、ANの添加量及び割合、EBまたはn−DDMの使用によってポリマーポリオールを製造した。表2の成分割合は、重量部[PBW(part by weight)で表示した。実施例19は、安定剤が添加されていない重合例であるが、反応途中に反応液の粘度が急上昇され撹拌が不可能な状態に至って単量体混合物が全部投入される前に反応を中止した。
本発明との比較例として、比較例1で合成された安定剤Eを用いて前記実施例11、19と同じ方法でポリマーポリオールを製造した。比較例2、3のポリマーポリオールは、次の表2に示したように本発明のポリマーポリオールに対して高い粘度を現わす。
ポリマーポリオール、ポリオールC、シリコーン整泡剤(L−580k)、アミン触媒(A−1)、水を下記表3に示された割合で撹拌混合して液温を25℃に調製する。25℃の前記混合液にMC[メチレンクロリド(Methylene Chloride)]とT−9を入れて10秒間6,000rpmで撹拌して混合する。T−80を加えて6秒間6,000rpmで撹拌して混合して20*20*20cm3の金型に注ぎ込む。15分後脱型して、24時間後に発泡体の機械的物性を測定する。それぞれの機械的物性はASTM D−3574の方法によって測定した。測定した結果を表4に示した。
比較例3のポリマーポリオールを実施例20〜23と同じ処方である表3に示した割合でポリウレタン発泡体製造を行い、その物性を比べて、その結果を表4に示した。比較例3のポリマーポリオールは自体粘度が高く、また本発明のポリマーポリオールに対してその物性も全般的に落ちる結果が出た。
Claims (8)
- 30〜80ppm酸素濃度下で、OH官能基が3〜8価であり、分子量が3,000〜15,000であるポリエーテルポリオールが無水マレイン酸、及びアルキレンオキサイドと反応して加熱されて製造されることを特徴とするポリマーポリオール製造用安定剤の製造方法。
- 前記反応は、塩基性触媒下で行うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリマーポリオール製造用安定剤の製造方法。
- 前記アルキレンオキサイドは、エチレンオキサイド、プロピレンオキサイドまたはこれらの混合物であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリマーポリオール製造用安定剤の製造方法。
- 前記ポリエーテルポリオールが、ソルビトールを開始剤として製造されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリマーポリオール製造用安定剤の製造方法。
- 加熱時間は10時間以下であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリマーポリオール製造用安定剤の製造方法。
- 請求項1乃至5のいずれか1項の方法で製造されるポリマーポリオール製造用安定剤。
- 請求項6の安定剤を用いて製造されるポリマーポリオール。
- 請求項7のポリマーポリオールを用いて製造されるポリウレタン。
