Abstract
【解決手段】マルチチャンネルヘッド1は、基板11と、基板11においてトラック幅方向Xに並べて配置された複数の記録素子5とを備える。記録素子5の少なくとも一つが、ポール幅寸法PW、バックヨーク14の幅寸法BGW及び奥行き寸法BGDについて、BGW<PW、かつ、BGD>BGWを満たす。

Claims (2)
- 基板と、前記基板においてトラック幅方向に並べて配置された複数の記録素子とを備えたマルチチャンネルヘッドであって、
前記記録素子のそれぞれは、第1のヨークと、第2のヨークと、バックヨークと、コイルとを備え、
前記第1のヨークは、前記基板の媒体対向面の側に第1のポール部を備え、
前記第2のヨークは、前記基板の積層方向でみて前記第1のヨークから間隔を隔てて設けられ、前記媒体対向面の側に第2のポール部を備え、
前記バックヨークは、前記媒体対向面から、前記基板の積層方向及び前記トラック幅方向に垂直な奥行き方向に後退した位置に設けられ、前記第1のヨークと前記第2のヨークとを連結し、
前記コイルは、前記バックヨークの周りを周回する態様で形成され、
前記記録素子の少なくとも一つは、前記第1のポール部の、前記媒体対向面の位置での前記トラック幅方向に沿った幅寸法または前記第2のポール部の、前記媒体対向面の位置での前記トラック幅方向に沿った幅寸法の何れのうち、より短い幅寸法をPWとし、前記バックヨークの、前記トラック幅方向に沿った幅寸法をBGWとし、前記バックヨークの、前記奥行き方向に沿った奥行き寸法をBGDとしたとき、BGW<PW、かつ、BGD>BGWを満たす、
マルチチャンネルヘッド。 - 請求項1に記載されたマルチチャンネルヘッドであって、
前記記録素子の少なくとも一つは、更に、BGW/PW≧0.24を満たす、
マルチチャンネルヘッド。
