Abstract

Description
本発明の一実施態様では、図1に示す通りに、このフィルタを、希薄燃焼圧縮点火エンジン, 例えばディーゼルエンジンの排気システム内に配置し、図1において、
(1)は、希薄燃焼圧縮点火エンジンであり、場合により、余分な燃料を注入して排気温度を上昇させてすすを燃焼させることによって粒子フィルタを再生するためのシステムを含みおよび場合により、粒子フィルタ内のすす燃焼温度を低下させるための燃料添加(fuel borne)触媒を注入するためのシステムを含み;
(2)は、炭化水素およびCOを酸化してこれらの成分の排出を低減させそして余分な燃料を注入するならば、排気温度を上昇させて粒子フィルタを再生することができる、フロースルーモノリス上に担持させたディーゼル酸化触媒(DOC)である。DOC は、場合により、また、すすをNO2により一層低い温度で連続して酸化するために、NOを酸化してNO2にすることができる;
(3)は、本発明に従って被覆した粒子フィルタであり、NO2およびPMの排出の量の低減をもたらす。NO2は、CO, 炭化水素および/またはすすと反応することによって還元されてNO になる。触媒被膜は、また、粒子フィルタを再生するのに必要な温度も低下させる。
市販されている3.3 LのSiC壁流ディーゼル粒子フィルタのフィルタ壁内側に、CeO2, ZrO2およびPdO を、従来の含浸, 乾燥およびか焼工程を経て被覆した。Ce含量は、45 g/フィルタ1Lであり、Zr含量は、9.4 g/フィルタ1Lであり、そしてPd 含量は、1.5 g/フィルタ1Lであった。
Citroen Xsara Picasso 1.6 L HDI -2006年モデルにおいて未被覆のフィルタと取り替えて、実施例1に記載する通りの触媒で被覆された3.3 L SiC 壁流フィルタを使用した。Pt含有DOC触媒の下流に、フィルタを配置した。すす酸化温度を燃料を低下させるために、燃料添加触媒をディーゼルに加えた。配置は、図2に略図を書いたものに相当する。

Claims (12)
- NO2含有エンジン排ガスを、NO2を還元させてNOにする際に活性でありかつ少なくとも一種の白金族金属を含み、但し白金金属は、白金でなくそして少なくとも一種のレドックス活性金属酸化物であるという条件で触媒と接触させ, それにより排ガス中に含有されるNO2を、排ガス中に存在するCO, 炭化水素および/またはすすと反応させることによって還元させてNOにする、希薄燃焼圧縮点火エンジンからの NO2排出を除去する方法。
- 少なくとも一種の白金族金属がパラジウムを含む、請求項1記載の方法。
- 少なくとも一種のレドックス活性な金属酸化物を、MnO2, Fe2O3, SnO2, PrO2およびCeO2からなる群より選ぶ、請求項1記載の方法。
- 少なくとも一種のレドックス活性金属酸化物を、TiO2, WO3, SiO2, HfO2, ZrO2, MgO, CaO, Al2O3, La2O3およびBaOからなる群より選ぶ一種以上の酸化物で安定化させる、請求項1記載の方法。
- 触媒が、ZrO2で安定化させたPdおよびCeO2からなる、請求項1記載の方法。
- 触媒を粒子フィルタの壁の上にまたは内部に担持させた請求項1〜5のいずれか一に記載の方法。
- NO2を、CO, HCおよび/またはすすと反応させてNOにする際に有効な触媒を装備したエンジン排ガスシステムを含み、触媒は少なくとも一種の白金族金属を含み、但し白金金属は、白金でなくそして少なくとも一種のレドックス活性金属酸化物であるという条件である、請求項1記載の方法において使用するための装置。
- 少なくとも一種の白金族金属がパラジウムを含む、請求項7記載の装置。
- 少なくとも一種のレドックス活性金属酸化物を、MnO2, Fe2O3, SnO2, PrO2およびCeO2からなる群より選ぶ、請求項7記載の装置。
- 少なくとも一種のレドックス活性金属酸化物を、TiO2, WO3, SiO2, HfO2, ZrO2, MgO, CaO, Al2O3, La2O3およびBaOからなる群より選ぶ一種以上の酸化物で安定化させる、請求項7記載の装置
- 触媒が、ZrO2で安定化させたPdおよびCeO2からなる、請求項7記載の装置。
- 触媒を粒子フィルタの壁の上にまたは内部に担持させた請求項7〜11のいずれか一に記載の装置。
