Abstract
【解決手段】表示素子8の劣化の状態(抵抗変化)を、電流源6に接続されるスイッチ27と検出スイッチ4を介して、検出部5で検出する。検出部5での検出結果に基づいて、表示制御部3は、表示素子8に供給する表示データを補正する。

Claims (12)
- 複数の表示素子と前記表示素子の発光量を表示データに応じて制御する画素制御部と前記画素制御部に接続された表示用電源とからなる表示部と、前記表示部の表示素子に表示データを入力すると共に前記表示素子の状態を出力する信号線とを有する画像表示装置において、
前記信号線への表示データの入力と表示素子の状態の出力とを切り替える検出スイッチと、前記検出スイッチに接続された検出用電源と、前記検出スイッチからの表示素子の状態を検出する検出部とを備え、
前記表示素子の状態を信号線と検出スイッチとを介して検出部に入力することを特徴とする表示装置 - 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出用電源が電流源であり、前記表示用電源が電圧源であることを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部は、前記表示素子とは別に設けた基準素子の状態を保持して、表示素子の状態と比較することを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部は、前記表示素子とは別に設けた複数の基準素子を保持して、複数の表示素子の状態と比較することを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部は、隣接する表示素子同士の状態を比較することを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部は、前記複数の表示素子の中から基準素子として選択した表示素子の状態と、他の表示素子の状態とを比較することを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部は、前記表示素子とは別に設けた基準素子の状態と、表示素子の状態とを比較することを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項5から7に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部に、検出用電源として2つの電流源が接続されていることを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項5から7に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部に、検出用電源に直列に接続された2つの並列抵抗が接続されていることを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部に、検出用電源として電圧源で動作する抵抗が接続されていることを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部は、抵抗ラダーに接続された複数の比較器からなることを特徴とする表示装置
- 請求項1に記載の表示装置において、前記検出部の結果を基に表示データを補正する表示制御部を備えていることを特徴とする表示装置
