Abstract
【解決手段】 トナーとキャリアを備える複数の現像器と、複数の現像器を選択的に用いて形成された検知用トナー像の濃度を検知する濃度検知動作を行なう濃度検知手段と、濃度検知手段の検知結果に応じて対応する現像器にトナーを補給する補給手段と、を有し、複数の現像器のうち少なくとも2つの現像器は同一色相で互いに色の深さが異なるトナーを用いる画像形成装置において、色が淡いトナーを用いた現像器における濃度検知動作の頻度は、色が深いトナーを用いた現像器における濃度検知動作の頻度よりも高いことを特徴とする。

Claims (4)
- トナーとキャリアを備える現像剤を用いて静電像を現像する複数の現像器と、
前記複数の現像器を選択的に用いて検知用トナー像を形成し、該形成された検知用トナー像の濃度を検知する濃度検知動作を行なう濃度検知手段と、
該濃度検知手段の検知結果に応じて、対応する現像器にトナーを補給する補給手段と、
を有し、
前記複数の現像器のうち少なくとも2つの現像器は、同一色相で互いに色の深さが異なるトナーを用い、これら2つの現像器によって前記同一色相の画像を形成可能な画像形成装置において、
前記2つの現像器のうち色が淡い方のトナーを用いた現像器における前記濃度検知動作の頻度は、前記2つの現像器のうち色が深い方のトナーを用いた現像器における前記濃度検知動作の頻度よりも高いことを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記濃度検知手段は、各現像器毎に事前に決められた画像形成枚数ごとに前記濃度検知動作を行ない、
前記色が淡い方のトナーを用いた現像器における前記事前に決められた画像形成枚数は、前記色が深い方のトナーを用いた現像器における前記事前に決められた画像形成枚数よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の画像形成装置。 - トナーとキャリアを備える現像剤を用いて静電像を現像する複数の現像器と、
前記複数の現像器を選択的に用いて検知用トナー像を形成し、該形成された検知用トナー像の濃度を検知する濃度検知動作を行なう濃度検知手段と、
該濃度検知手段の検知結果に応じて、対応する現像器にトナーを補給する補給手段と、
を有し、
前記複数の現像器のうち少なくとも1つの現像器は、無色トナーを用いる画像形成装置において、
前記無色トナーを用いた現像器における前記濃度検知動作の頻度は、その他の現像器における前記濃度検知動作の頻度よりも高いことを特徴とする画像形成装置。 - 前記濃度検知手段は、各現像器毎に事前に決められた画像形成枚数ごとに前記濃度検知動作を行ない、
前記無色トナーを用いた現像器における前記事前に決められた画像形成枚数は、前記その他の現像器における前記事前に決められた画像形成枚数よりも少ないことを特徴とする請求項3に記載の画像形成装置。
