Abstract
Description
+30°である第1のらせん部分と、−3°である反対方向の第2のらせん部分と、+5°である第3のらせん部分を含むツイストドリル(サンプル1)を、+30°である第1のらせん部分と−3°である反対方向の第2のらせん部分を含むツイストドリル(サンプル2)に対してテストした。
切削した穴の数:6
切削速度=80m/分
送り量=0.45mm/回転
穴の深さ=80mm
切削する材料:内部冷却液を200PSIで(@200PSI)用いた4140鋼(200ブリネル硬度)
3つのツイストドリルに対して有限要素解析(FEA)を行った。これらのツイストドリルの直径は8mmであり、工具本体の長さは40mmであった。各ツイストドリルの切削端部の形状はS字状のドリル先端部であった。
Claims (22)
- 前部逃げ面を含む切削先端部と、該切削先端部から後方に延びるほぼ円柱状の工具本体と、シャンクとを含み、
前記工具本体が該工具本体を貫通する回転軸を有し、前記工具本体の外周面に形成されて前記前部逃げ面に延びる少なくとも1つの溝を含み、
前記少なくとも1つの溝が、前記前部逃げ面に対して開かれた第1のらせん部分と、前記第1のらせん部分の後端から前記工具本体の前記後部に向かって延びる第2のらせん部分とを含み、該第2のらせん部分が前記第1のらせん部分と反対の方向にねじれている、

- 前記切削先端部が交換可能な切削先端部である、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記切削先端部がS字状のチゼルエッジを含む、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記工具本体が鋼からなる、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記工具本体が超硬合金からなる、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記工具本体が、該工具本体の外周面に形成された一対のねじれ溝を含む、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第1のらせん部分のらせん角が、前記切削先端部から前記工具本体まで、及び前記工具本体の前記溝の一部において一定に保たれる、請求項7に記載のツイストドリル。
- 少なくとも1つの冷却液用穴を含む、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第1のらせん部分のらせん角が約0°から約40°である、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第1のらせん部分の前記らせん角が約30°である、請求項10に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第2のらせん部分のらせん角が約1°から約30°である、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第2のらせん部分の前記らせん角が約3°である、請求項12に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第2のらせん部分の後部から延びる第3のらせん部分を更に含む、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第3のらせん部分が前記第2のらせん部分と反対の方向にねじれている、請求項14に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第3のらせん部分が前記第2のらせん部分の前記後部から前記ドリルの前記シャンクまで延びている、請求項15に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第3のらせん部分のらせん角が一定である、請求項14に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第3のらせん部分の前記らせん角が約0°から約40°である、請求項14に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記第3のらせん部分の前記らせん角が約5°である、請求項14に記載のツイストドリル。
- 前記ツイストドリルの長さに沿って一定であるウェブの厚さを有する、請求項1に記載のツイストドリル。
