Abstract
【解決手段】CD、DVD及び高密度DVD等のように、光ディスク記録層までの透過層厚さが異なる多種の光ディスクに対するサーボ動作の優先順序を、その光透過層の厚さによってあらかじめ設定した後、その優先順序によってサーボ動作が順次実施されるように制御することによって、光ディスクと光ピックアップ間の衝突を未然に防止する。

Description
一方、サーボコントローラ15は、光ピックアップ14の対物レンズを、光ディスクの記録層に対して垂直方向へ移動させる一連のフォーカシングサーボ動作を実施する。この時、光ディスク記録層までの光透過層の厚さによって事前にあらかじめ設定されたフォーカスサーボ動作の優先順序に合せて行う。したがって、まずCDに適したCDフォーカシングサーボ動作が優先的に実施される(S11)。
Claims (6)
- 光ディスク記録層までの光透過層の厚さが異なる多種の光ディスクに対するフォーカシングサーボ動作の優先順序を、光ディスク記録層までの光透過層の厚さが厚い方から順に設定する1段階と;
装置内に挿入装着された光ディスクの記録層と、装置内の光ピックアップの対物レンズとの間の垂直方向における距離が前記光透過層の厚さが厚くなるほど大きくなるように、前記光ピックアップの対物レンズを、前記光透過層の厚さに応じて事前に設定された最大移動位置まで移動させる前記フォーカシングサーボ動作を、前記設定された優先順序で順次実施する2段階と;
前記順次フォーカシングサーボ動作を実施する途中、正常なフォーカスが成り立った場合、その光ディスクの種類に対応するトラッキングサーボ動作を実施する3段階と
を含むことを特徴とする光ディスク装置におけるサーボ動作制御方法。 - 前記1段階は、前記フォーカシングサーボ動作の優先順序を、CD、DVD、高密度DVDの順に設定することを特徴とする請求項1記載の光ディスク装置におけるサーボ動作制御方法。
- 前記2段階は、前記挿入装着された光ディスクに対するフォーカシングサーボ動作を、CD、DVD、高密度DVDの順序通りに順次実施することを特徴とする請求項2記載の光ディスク装置におけるサーボ動作制御方法。
- 前記3段階は、前記CDに対するフォーカシングサーボ動作実施途中、正常なフォーカスが成り立った場合、前記CDに対応するトラッキングサーボ動作を実施することを特徴とする請求項3記載の光ディスク装置におけるサーボ動作制御方法。
- 前記3段階は、前記CDに対する正常なフォーカスが成り立たなかった場合、DVDに対するフォーカシングサーボ動作を実施した後、正常なフォーカスが成り立つと、前記DVDに対応するトラッキングサーボ動作を実施することを特徴とする請求項4記載の光ディスク装置におけるサーボ動作制御方法。
- 前記3段階は、前記DVDに対する正常なフォーカスが成り立たなかった場合、高密度DVDに対するフォーカシングサーボ動作を実施した後、正常なフォーカスが成り立つと、前記高密度DVDに対応するトラッキングサーボ動作を実施することを特徴とする請求項5記載の光ディスク装置におけるサーボ動作制御方法。
