Claims (6)
- 表示部を駆動するための駆動信号を入力する複数の配線が形成された基板を備える表示装置において、
前記複数の配線のうち両端部の信号線の少なくとも一方の信号線が断線した際に、共に断線する断線検知用配線を有することを特徴とする表示装置。 - 前記断線検知用配線は、前記両端部の信号線のうち一方の信号線に沿って該信号線よりも前記基板の外側に位置するように設けられた第一の検出用配線と、他方の信号線に沿って該信号線よりも前記基板の外側に位置するように設けられた第二の検出用配線と、前記基板の上方に設けられた絶縁体上に形成され、前記第一の検出用配線と前記第二の検出用配線を電気的に接続する導通配線を備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第一の検出用配線と電気的に接続する第一の断線検知用端子と、前記第二の検出用配線と電気的に接続する第二の断線検知用端子を備え、前記第一の断線検知用端子と第二の断線検知用端子間の抵抗値に基づいて、前記信号線の断線を検知可能としたことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の表示装置。
- 前記絶縁体は前記基板に対向するように設けられた対向基板であり、前記基板と前記対向基板の間には、前記第一の検出用配線と前記導通配線を接続する導電材と、前記第二の検出用配線と前記導通配線を接続する導電材を備えることを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記基板に接続されたフレキシブル基板を備え、前記第一、及び第二の断線検知用端子が前記フレキシブル基板に形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
- 前記基板には前記駆動信号を出力するドライバICが実装され、前記複数の配線は前記ドライバICの出力端子に接続されたことを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の表示装置。
