Abstract
【解決手段】ウレア化合物を1〜25重量%含むグリースに、(A)二硫化タングステンを0.1〜5重量%、および(B)ジチオリン酸亜鉛および/またはモリブデンジアルキルジチオカーバメートを0.1〜5重量%含有するグリース組成物を得る。
また、上記グリース組成物に、更に(C)モリブデンジチオホスフェートを0.1〜5重量%するグリース組成物を得る。
PRTR対象物質であるモリブデン化合物を使用しないか、使用量を相対的に減少して、低摩擦係数と耐摩耗性に優れ、環境負荷の少ないグリース組成物が得られる。

また、ウレアグリースに、硫化ジアルキルジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンとモリブデンジチオホスフェートの添加剤を併用し、もしくはこれらの有機モリブデン化合物にジチオリン酸亜鉛を混合したグリースも知られている。(特許文献2)
このPRTRの対象物質になっている鉛化合物やアンチモン化合物も、グリースに長年に渡って使用されてきたが、最近では、こうした問題の無い硫黄系極圧添加剤などへほぼ全て切り替えられている。
本発明は、ウレア化合物を1〜25重量%含有するグリースに、(A)二硫化タングステンを0.1〜5重量%、(B)ジチオリン酸亜鉛および/またはモリブデンジチオカーバメートを0.1〜5重量%を含有することを特徴とするグリース組成物である。
また、上記グリース組成物に、さらに(C)モリブデンジチオホスフェートを0.1〜5重量%含有することを特徴とするグリース組成物である。
増ちょう剤としては、モノウレア、ジウレア、トリウレア、テトラウレアその他のポリウレアなどのウレア化合物が使用される。
ジウレア化合物は、ジイソシアネートとモノアミンとの反応で容易に得られるし、テトラウレア化合物は、ジイソシアネートとモノアミン及びジアミンとの反応で得ることができる。
また、モノアミンとしては、例えば、オクチルアミン、ドデシルアミン、ステアリルアミン、オレイルアミン、アニリン、パラトルイジン、シクロヘキシルアミン等がある。そして、ジアミンとしては、例えば、エチレンジアミン、プロパンジアミン、ブタンジアミン、フェニレンジアミン等が挙げられる。
上記基油に、これらのウレア化合物を1〜25重量%含有させることによってウレアグリースが得られる。
上記R’の具体例としては、例えば、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基、ブチル基、第二級ブチル基、イソブチル基、ペンチル基、4−メチルペンチル基、ヘキシル基、2−エチルヘキシル基、ヘプチル基、オクチル基、ノニル基、デシル基、イソデシル基、ドデシル基、テトラデシル基、ヘキサデシル基、オクタデシル基、エイコシル基、ドコシル基、テトラコシル基、シクロペンチル基、シクロヘキシル基、メチルシクロヘキシル基、エチルシクロヘキシル基、ジメチルシクロヘキシル基、シクロヘプチル基、フェニル基、トリル基、キシリル基、エチルフェニル基、プロピルフェニル基、ブチルフェニル基、ペンチルフェニル基、ヘキシルフェニル基、ヘプチルフェニル基、オクチルフェニル基、ノニルフェニル基、デシルフェニル基、ドデシルフェニル基、テトラデシルフェニル基、ヘキサデシルフェニル基、オクタデシルフェニル基、ベンジル基、フェネチル基などが挙げられる。
また、二級アルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛としては、例えば、モノ又はジ−sec−ブチルジチオリン酸亜鉛、モノ又はジ−sec−ペンチルジチオリン酸亜鉛、モノ又はジ−4−メチル−2−ペンチルジチオリン酸亜鉛などがある。
アリールジチオリン酸亜鉛としては、例えば、ジパラドデシルフェノールジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジヘプチルフェノールジチオリン酸亜鉛、ジパラノニルフェノールジチオリン酸亜鉛などを挙げることができる。
(R1R2N-CS-S)2Mo2OmSn---(II)
(式中、R1およびR2は、それぞれ独立した炭素数1〜24、好ましくは3〜18のアルキル基を表わし、mは0〜3、nは4〜1であり、m+n=4である。)
更に、これらに(C)モリブデンジチオホスフェートを0.1〜5重量%配合することもできるが、好ましくは0.2〜3重量%である。0.1重量%未満の場合には、低摩擦係数が得られず、耐摩耗性の向上が不十分であり、また5重量%を超えても効果の一層の増大が見られない。
本発明のグリース組成物の作用機構は明瞭ではないが、ウレアグリースに、層状格子構造物質である二硫化タングステンと、ジチオリン酸亜鉛および/またはモリブデンジチオカーバメートの少なくとも1種類を配合することによって、これらの化学結合によって生成した二硫化タングステンの層が金属接触を防ぎ、底面と平行に滑りながら潤滑に関与しているものと推測される。また、ウレア皮膜、機械表面の酸化鉄皮膜、リン皮膜およびモリブデン皮膜等によってより強固な皮膜を形成し、優れた摩擦摩耗特性を示すと考えられる。
以下に示す基グリース及び添加剤を、表1〜表4に示す配合組成によって、三本ロールミルで処理し、実施例1〜7及びこれと比較するための比較例1〜8のグリース組成物を得た。
〔1−1〕ジウレアグリース
100℃の動粘度が約15mm2/sの精製鉱油(5400g)中で、ジフェニルメタン−4,4’−ジイソシアネート(295.2g)とオクチルアミン(304.8g)を反応させ、生成したジウレア化合物を均一に分散させてグリースを得た。ウレア化合物の含有量は、10重量%である。このジウレアグリースは、JIS−K2220によるちょう度(25℃、60W)が283、滴点が263℃であった。
〔1−2〕テトラウレアグリース
100℃の動粘度が約15mm2/sの精製鉱油(5160g)中で、ジフェニルメタン−4,4’−ジイソシアネート(382.7g)と、ステアリルアミン(411.4g)及びエチレンジアミン(46.0g)を反応させ、生成したウレア化合物を均一に分散させてグリースを得た。ウレア化合物の含有量は、14重量%である。このテトラウレアグリースは、JIS−K2220によるちょう度(25℃、60W)が285、滴点が202℃であった。
〔2−1〕二硫化タングステン(表中の表示;WS2):平均粒径が0.6μmのパウダー、日本潤滑剤(株)のタンミックB(商品名)を使用した。
〔2−2〕ジチオリン酸亜鉛(表中の表示;Zn−DTP):
Lubrizol社のLubrizol 1395(商品名)を使用した。
〔2−3〕モリブデンジチオカーバメート(表中の表示;Mo−DTC):
Vanderbilt社のMolyvan A(商品名)を使用した。
〔2−4〕モリブデンジチオホスフェート(表中の表示;Mo−DTP):
旭電化工業(株)のSakuralube 300(商品名)を使用した。
〔2−5〕二硫化モリブデン(表中の表示;MoS2):
CLIMAX MOLYBDENUM U.K. 社の商品で平均粒径が0.7μmである。
〔2−6〕黒鉛(表中の表示;黒鉛):富士黒鉛株式会社の「FAHN」(商品名)の土壌黒鉛を使用した。
得られた実施例及び比較例のグリース組成物について、その性能を調べるためにファレックス耐摩耗試験を行い、グリース組成物の摩擦係数および耐摩耗性(試験片の表面粗さ)を測定、評価した。
ファレックス耐摩耗試験は、IP241(IP: Institute of Petroleum,イギリス石油協会)に準拠し、下記の条件によって試験を行い、試験終了時の摩擦係数を求めた。また、ジャーナル試験片のRmax(μm)(最大表面粗さ)を測定した。
(試験条件)
回転数 :290±10rpm
温度 : 室温(約25℃)
荷重 :890N(200lbf)
時間 : 15 min
グリース塗布量 : 試験片に約1グラムを塗布
(試験結果)
ファレックス耐摩耗試験の結果を表1〜表4に記載した。
一方、表3及び表4から明らかなように、比較例1〜8のものは、いずれも摩擦係数と耐摩耗性の両方を満足する結果が得られていない。すなわち、比較例1、2、5、7、8のものは、摩擦係数も高いし、試験片の最大表面粗さも大きな値を示している。比較例3、4のものは、摩擦係数は比較的低い値を示しているが、試験片の最大表面粗さが大きな値を示しており、これは摩耗増大によって接触面圧が低下したことによって、低摩擦係数を示していると推察される。比較例6のものは、試験片の最大表面粗さは実施例のものに比較的近いが、摩擦係数において高い値を示している。
また、各実施例と比較例7、8の比較から判るように、本発明で使用した二硫化タングステンと同じ層状格子構造物質である二硫化モリブデンや黒鉛では、Mo−DTC、Mo−DTP、Zn-DTPなどと併用しても各実施例のような優れた低摩擦係数と良好な耐摩耗性の両方を満足する結果が得られていないことが判る。
このように、本発明のグリース組成物では、硫化ジアルキルジチオカルバミン酸モリブデンなどのモリブデン化合物を使用せず、またはそれらのモリブデン化合物の使用量の削減を図って、良好な潤滑作用を得ることができる。
Claims (2)
- ウレア化合物を1〜25重量%含有するウレアグリースに、(A)二硫化タングステンを0.1〜5重量%、および(B)ジチオリン酸亜鉛および/またはモリブデンジアルキルジチオカーバメートを0.1〜5重量%を含有するグリース組成物。
- 上記グリースに、更に(C)モリブデンジチオホスフェートを0.1〜5重量%を含有する請求項1記載のグリース組成物。
