Description
さらに本発明は、マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金製造において、溶融マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金の酸化、燃焼を防止する保護ガスとして、上記のガス組成物を用いることを特徴とする溶融マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金の急激な酸化、燃焼防御方法である。

本発明において、含フッ素有機化合物を保護ガスとして用いるにあたり、GWPが相対的に小さくかつ分子中にF含量が比較的大きな1,1,1,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロパン、1,3,3,3−テトラフルオロプロペン、メチル1,1,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルエーテル等のハイドロフルオロカーボンやハイドロフルオロエーテルを選択した。
保護ガスをメチルトリフルオロメチルエーテル、ジフルオロメチルフルオロメチルエーテル、ビスジフルオロメチルエーテル、メチルペンタフルオロエチルエーテル、1,2,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルトリフルオロメチルエーテル、2,2,2−トリフルオロエチルトリフルオロメチルエーテル、ジフルオロメチル1,2,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルエーテル、ジフルオロメチル2,2,2−トリフルオロエチルエーテル、1−トリフルオロメチル−2,2,2−トリフルオロエチルメチルエーテル、1−トリフルオロメチル−1,2,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルメチルエーテルまたは1,1,1,2,2,3,3−ヘプタフルオロー3−メトキシプロパンとした以外は、実施例3と同様にして行った。メチルトリフルオロメチルエーテルを除き、いずれも目視観察では、溶融マグネシウム面上部に被膜が形成され、激しい燃焼は観察されなかった。結果を表1に纏めた。
保護ガスを1,1,3,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロペン、1,2,3,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロペン、1,1,2,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロペン、2,3,3,3−テトラフルオロプロペンまたは3,3,3−トリフルオロプロペンとした以外は、実施例3と同様にして行った。3,3,3−トリフルオロプロペンを除き、いずれも目視観察では、溶融マグネシウム面上部に被膜が形成され、激しい燃焼は観察されなかった。結果を表2に纏めた。
マグネシウム10gを入れたるつぼ炉のマグネシウムの上部に乾燥空気を10ml/分で上部に流しながら、るつぼ炉を700℃に加熱した。この場合、加熱とともにマグネシウムの激しい燃焼が観察された。
Claims (7)
- 含フッ素有機化合物およびキャリアガスからなる、溶融マグネシウム/マグネシウム合金の急激な酸化、燃焼を防止する保護ガス組成物。
- 含フッ素有機化合物がハイドロフルオロカーボン、ハイドロフルオロエーテルおよびそれらの混合物からなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項1に記載する組成物。
- 含フッ素有機化合物が1,1,1,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロパン、1,3,3,3−テトラフルオロプロペン、メチル1,1,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルエーテルおよびそれらの混合物からなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2に記載の組成物。
- ハイドロフルオロカーボンが1,1,3,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロペン、1,2,3,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロペン、1,1,2,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロペン、2,3,3,3−テトラフルオロプロペンおよびそれらの混合物からなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の組成物。
- ハイドロフルオロエーテルがジフルオロメチルフルオロメチルエーテル、ビスジフルオロメチルエーテル、メチルペンタフルオロエチルエーテル、1,2,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルトリフルオロメチルエーテル、2,2,2−トリフルオロエチルトリフルオロメチルエーテル、ジフルオロメチル1,2,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルエーテル、ジフルオロメチル2,2,2−トリフルオロエチルエーテ、1−トリフルオロメチル−2,2,2−トリフルオロエチルメチルエーテル、1−トリフルオロメチル−1,2,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルメチルエーテル、1,1,1,2,2,3,3−ヘプタフルオロー3−メトキシプロパンおよびそれらの混合物からなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の組成物。
- キャリアガスが空気、二酸化炭素、アルゴン、窒素およびそれらの混合物からなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする請求項1記載の組成物。
- マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金製造において、溶融マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金の酸化、燃焼を防止する保護ガスとして、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれかに記載のガス組成物を用いることを特徴とする溶融マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金の急激な酸化、燃焼防御方法。
