- 含フッ素有機化合物である1,1,1,3,3−ペンタフルオロプロパン(HFC−245fa)、1,3,3,3−テトラフルオロプロペン(OHFC−1234ze)、メチル1,1,2,2−テトラフルオロエチルエーテル(HFE−254pc)およびそれらの混合物のみからなる群から選ばれる化合物およびキャリアガスからなる、溶融マグネシウム/マグネシウム合金の燃焼を防止する保護ガス組成物であって、該キャリアガスがヘリウム、ネオン、クリプトン、キセノンおよびそれらの混合物のみからなる群から選ばれることを特徴とする、溶融マグネシウム/マグネシウム合金の燃焼を防止する保護ガス組成物。
- マグネシウムまたはマグネシウム合金製造において、600〜850℃で溶解した溶湯表面に、請求項1に記載のガス組成物を流すことを特徴とする溶融マグネシウム/マグネシウム合金の燃焼を防止する方法。
- キャリアガス中の保護ガス濃度が0.005〜5体積%および/または溶湯単位面積あたりの保護ガス流量が5〜5000mL/min/m2の範囲において、防燃効果を発現するのに充分な流速で請求項1に記載のガス組成物を流すことを特徴とする請求項2記載の溶融マグネシウム/マグネシウム合金の燃焼を防止する方法。
- キャリアガス中の保護ガス濃度が0.005〜5体積%および/または溶湯単位面積あたりの保護ガス流量が5〜5000mL/min/m2の範囲において、溶湯開放時に180秒以上防燃効果を発現するのに充分な流速で請求項1に記載のガス組成物を流すことを特徴とする請求項2記載の溶融マグネシウム/マグネシウム合金の燃焼を防止する方法。
