Abstract
【解決手段】医用デバイスは複数の層の熱処理可能な金属繊維で形成されている。繊維層の各々は、複数の金属ストランドで形成され、アセンブリはデバイスの所望の形状を実質的に設定するために鋳型内で加熱処理される。こうして形成された医用デバイスに複数の層を組入れることによって、体器官における異常な開口部を迅速に閉鎖するデバイスの能力が大幅に改善されている。

Claims (15)
- 内側金属繊維を取囲む外側金属繊維を含んで成る折畳み式医用デバイスであって、前記外側および内側金属繊維が各々、拡張された事前設定構成と近接端および末端とともに複数の編組金属ストランドを有し、前記近接端および末端が、前記内側および外側金属繊維を含んで成る複数の編組ストランドをいっしょに固定するための手段を有し、前記医用デバイスが、血管器官における異常な開口部の閉鎖を生成するように形成されており、前記拡張された事前設定構成が患者の体内の通路を通じて送達するためにより小さい断面の大きさに変形可能であり、制約されていない場合に前記拡張された事前設定構成に前記医用デバイスが戻る傾向があるように記憶特性を有する前記外側および内側金属繊維で構成されている医用デバイス。
- 前記外側および内側金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドのピッチが略同等である、請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドが、内側金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドよりも直径が大きい、請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記内側金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドの数が、前記外側金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドの数よりも大きい、請求項3に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドの数が72であり、前記内側金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドの数が144である、請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドの直径が0.003〜0.008インチ(0.007〜0.02cm)の範囲であり、前記内側金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドの直径が0.001〜0.002インチ(0.003〜0.005cm)の範囲である、請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 請求項1に記載の医用デバイスであり、前記内側金属繊維の範囲内に配置された第3の金属繊維をさらに含み、前記第3の金属繊維が拡張された事前設定構成とともに複数の編組金属ストランドを含んで成り、これが前記外側および内側金属繊維の前記拡張された事前設定構成に対応し、前記第3の金属繊維の複数の編組金属ストランドが、前記外側および内側金属繊維を含んで成る複数の編組ストランドのそれぞれの近接端および末端に固定されている近接端および末端を有する医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドのピッチが、前記外側および内側金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドと同等である、請求項7に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドの直径が、前記内側金属繊維を含んで成る前記編組金属ストランドと同等である、請求項7に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドの数が、前記内側金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドの数と同等である、請求項7に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維を含んで成る編組金属ストランドの数が144である、請求項7に記載の医用デバイス。
