Abstract
【解決手段】人体内の患部を閉鎖するための医用デバイス10は、それぞれが複数の金属編組ストランドからなる内側金属繊維層22,24および外側金属繊維層20とを有する。内側および外側金属繊維層のそれぞれを形成する金属編組ストランドは、拡張された予設定形状を有し、それら金属繊維層のそれぞれを形成する金属編組ストランドの末端および基端が固定手段によって互いに固定されている。前記予設定形状は小さい断面寸法に変形して医用デバイスが送達カテーテルによって送達されることができるようになっている。また、内側および外側金属繊維層は、記憶特性を有し、非拘束時に前記拡張された予設定形状に戻るようになっている。

Claims (13)
- 血管器官内または人体の患部の異常な開口の閉鎖を生じる形状を有していて人体内の患部を閉鎖するための医用デバイスにして、複数の金属編組ストランドからなる内側金属繊維層(22,24,112,114)と、内側金属繊維層を囲んでいて複数の金属編組ストランドからなる外側金属繊維層(20,110)とを有し、前記内側金属繊維層と外側金属繊維層とのそれぞれを形成する金属編組ストランドが拡張された予設定形状を有し、前記内側金属繊維層と外側金属繊維層とのそれぞれを形成する金属編組ストランドの末端および基端が固定手段(26,120)によって互いに結束されて固定されており、前記予設定形状が小さい断面寸法に変形して医用デバイスが送達カテーテルによって送達されることができるようになっており、また、前記内側金属繊維層と外側金属繊維層は、記憶特性を有し、非拘束時に前記拡張された予設定形状に戻るようになっている医用デバイス。
- 前記送達カテーテルが6から12フレンチの径を有する請求項1に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維の層(20,110)と内側金属繊維の層(22,24,112,114)とのそれぞれを形成する金属編組ストランドが0.025から0.2mmの範囲の径のストランドを有する請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記編組金属ストランドのピッチが、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層でほぼ等しくなっている請求項1から3までのいずれか一項に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドは、前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドより大きな径を有する請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドは、前記外側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドより本数が多い請求項5に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの径は、0.003から0.008インチ(0.076から0.203mm)の範囲であり、前記内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドの径は、0.001から0.002インチ(0.025から0.051mm)である請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記医用デバイスは、さらに前記内側金属繊維の層の内側に配置された第3の金属繊維の層を含み、該第3の金属繊維の層は、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層の金属編組ストランドの拡張された予設定形状に相当する拡張された予設定形状を有する複数の編組金属ストランドからなり、第3の金属繊維の層の編組金属ストランドの末端と基端は、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層を構成する複数の編組金属ストランドの基端と末端にそれぞれ固定されている請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記第3の金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドのピッチは、前記外側および内側金属繊維の層を形成する編組金属ストランドのピッチに等しい請求項8に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維の層の拡張された予設定形状は、前記内側金属繊維の層の拡張された予設定形状とは異なる幾何学的形状である請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記医用デバイスを送達システムに取外し可能に取付けるための取付け手段を有する請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記外側金属繊維層を形成する前記編組金属ストランドの基端および末端を互いに固定する手段が、前記内側金属繊維層を形成する前記編組金属ストランドの基端および末端を固定する手段から独立している、請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
- 前記内側金属繊維層および前記外側金属繊維層を形成する複数の編組金属ストランドの基端および末端を固定する手段が、前記基端および末端のそれぞれにおいて前記内側金属繊維層および前記外側金属繊維層の編組金属ストランドのすべてに結合された第1および第2のクランプを含む、請求項1または2に記載の医用デバイス。
