Abstract
【解決手段】正極、セパレーター、及び負極を含んでなる電極組立体と、電極組立体を収容する凹部、及び当該凹部の周縁に沿って融着されてフランジ形態に形成された縁23、23’を有するパウチを具備するパウチ型リチウム二次電池において、縁の少なくとも一部分で、縁の端部が絶縁材201で覆われることを特徴とする。したがって、パウチ膜の金属箔と電池負極との間の電気的短絡を防止することができる。

Claims (6)
- 正極、セパレーター、及び負極を含んでなる電極組立体と、
前記電極組立体を収容する凹部、及び当該凹部の周縁に沿って融着されてフランジ形態に形成された縁、を有するパウチと、を具備するパウチ型リチウム二次電池において、
前記縁の少なくとも一部分で、前記縁の端部が絶縁材で覆われたことを特徴とするパウチ型リチウム二次電池。 - 前記絶縁材は、前記パウチにおいて、前記正極及び前記負極に設置される電極タップが引き出される部分を除いた前記縁の端部全体を覆うように形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパウチ型リチウム二次電池。
- 前記絶縁材は、接着テープで形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパウチ型リチウム二次電池。
- 前記パウチは、前記凹部の底面側から見て矩形をなし、
前記パウチの対向する二辺において、前記縁は前記凹部に向かって一回折曲されて、
前記絶縁材をなす接着テープが、前記縁の端部を中心に、幅の一部は前記縁に付着し、幅の残り一部は前記凹部をなす面に付着することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパウチ型リチウム二次電池。 - 前記パウチは、前記凹部の底面側から見て矩形をなし、
前記パウチの対向する二辺の前記縁は、前記縁の端部が前記凹部の側壁と当該縁との間に挟まれるように複数回折りたたまれ、
前記対向する二辺と交差する一辺には保護回路基板が設置され、
前記絶縁材は、前記保護回路基板が設置される一辺と前記二辺とが交差する二つの角部分の縁の端部のみを覆うことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパウチ型リチウム二次電池。 - 前記パウチは、前記凹部の底面側から見て矩形をなし、
前記パウチの対向する二辺において、前記絶縁材が前記縁の端部全体を覆うように形成されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパウチ型リチウム二次電池。
