Description
本発明の第1実施形態に係るプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動装置は、プラズマディスプレイパネルの温度を感知する温度センサーと、前記温度によって前記プラズマディスプレイパネルのセル内の電荷を消去するための消去信号の勾配を調整する消去信号勾配調整部と、前記消去信号を利用して前記セル内の電荷を消去した後、前記セルを初期化するための初期化信号、前記セルを選択するためのアドレス信号及び前記セルに対してサステイン放電を起こすためのサステイン信号を前記プラズマディスプレイパネルに供給する駆動部と、を含むことを特徴とする。
温度センサー127は、PDPの背面に連綴される印刷回路ボード(Printed Circuit Board:PCB)またはPDPの付近の別途の器具上に設置されてPDPの周囲温度を感知し、その温度を指示する電気的信号を消去信号勾配調整部126に供給する。PDPの駆動部122、123、124は前記印刷回路ボードに実装される。
本発明の第2実施形態に係るプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動装置は、プラズマディスプレイパネルの温度を感知する温度センサーと、前記温度によって前記プラズマディスプレイパネルのセル内の電荷を消去するための消去信号の電圧を調整する消去信号電圧調整部と、前記消去信号を利用して前記セル内の電荷を消去した後、前記セルを初期化するための初期化信号、前記セルを選択するためのアドレス信号及び前記セルに対してサステイン放電を起こすためのサステイン信号を前記プラズマディスプレイパネルに供給する駆動部と、を含むことを特徴とする。
このように、本発明の第2実施形態に係るPDPの駆動方法は、消去信号VRamp−ersの電圧を温度によって可変することにより、PDPを高温または低温で使用するとしても、高温誤放電や低温誤放電を予防することができ、いかなる環境でも安定したアドレス放電を行うことができる。

前記温度によって前記プラズマディスプレイパネルのセル内の電荷を消去するための消去信号の勾配を調整する消去信号勾配調整部と;
前記消去信号を利用して前記セル内の電荷を消去した後、前記セルを初期化するための初期化信号、前記セルを選択するためのアドレス信号及び前記セルに対してサステイン放電を起こすためのサステイン信号を前記プラズマディスプレイパネルに供給する駆動部と;を含むことを特徴とするプラズマディスプレイパネルの駆動装置。 - 前記消去信号勾配調整部は、
