Abstract
【解決手段】偏光板Pの2箇所を吸着ステージPS1,PS2に保持して液晶セルCの主面近傍に平行に位置決めした後に液晶セルCの主面に偏光板Pの一部を押し付けて接触させ、その後に偏光板Pの一部から液晶セルCの主面の第1の方向沿いに液晶セルCの主面の一端に向けて液晶セルCの主面に押し付け、その後に偏光板Pを第1の方向沿いに液晶セルCの主面の他端に向けて液晶セルCの主面に押し付けることで液晶セルCの主面に偏光板Pを貼り付ける。

Description
図2は、現状の液晶セルCに偏光板Pを貼り付け方法及びその貼り付け装置を説明する断面図であり、図2(a)〜図2(h)はその貼り付け工程を説明する図である。図2(a)は、液晶セルC及び偏光板Pの投入前の貼り付け装置の位置関係を示す説明図である。図2(a)に示すように貼り付け装置内の所定位置には、液晶セルCの吸着ステージCSと、偏光板Pの吸着ステージPSとが平行な状態で待機している。また、偏光板Pの吸着ステージPSの左端には、貼り付け作業の際に偏光板Pを液晶セルCに押し付ける貼り付けローラが備え付けられている。
Claims (6)
- 第1の方向及び当該第1の方向と交差する第2の方向に沿って拡がる主面を有する表示パネルを備え、且つ当該表示パネルの主面にフィルムが貼り付けられた表示装置の製造方法において、
前記フィルムの一部を前記表示パネルの主面の前記第1の方向に対向し合う一端及び他端の何れかからも離間して当該表示パネルの主面に接触させる第1の工程と、
前記フィルムを前記一部から前記第1の方向沿いに前記表示パネルの主面の前記一端に向けて当該表示パネルの主面に押し付ける第2の工程と、
前記フィルムを前記第1の方向沿いに前記表示パネルの主面の前記他端に向けて当該表示パネルの主面に押し付ける第3の工程と、
を含むことを特徴とする表示装置の製造方法。 - 前記表示装置が液晶表示装置とすることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の表示装置の製造方法。
- 第1の方向及び当該第1の方向と交差する第2の方向に沿って拡がる主面を有する表示パネルを備え、且つ当該表示パネルの主面にフィルムが貼り付けられた表示装置の製造装置において、
前記表示パネルをその主面の背面で保持し、且つ前記第1の方向に移動する表示パネル保持手段と、
前記表示パネル保持手段に対向配置され、且つ前記フィルムをその貼り付け面の背面で少なくとも2箇所で保持する第1の保持部と第2の保持部とを同一平面上に有し、当該各第1の保持部,第2の保持部が前記同一平面上に沿って移動する一対のフィルム保持手段と、
前記一対のフィルム保持手段の前記第1の保持部と前記第2の保持部との間に配設されて前記フィルムの一部を前記表示パネルの主面に接触させ、且つ前記第1の保持部,第2の保持部の移動に同期して前記表示パネルの主面に沿って往復移動する少なくとも1つの貼り付け手段と、
を備え、
前記表示パネルの主面に前記フィルムの一部を接触させた後に前記貼り付け手段を、前記第1の方向沿いに前記表示パネルの主面の前記一端に向けて当該表示パネルの主面に沿って移動させた後、前記第1の方向沿いに前記表示パネルの主面の前記他端に向けて当該表示パネルの主面に沿って移動させることにより、前記表示パネルの主面にフィルムを貼り付けることを特徴とする表示装置の製造装置。 - 前記貼り付け手段が回転可能な円筒形ローラであることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記貼り付け手段が揺動可能な円筒の曲面部若しくはその一部の形状であることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の表示装置の製造装置。
- 前記貼り付け手段が前記フィルムを前記表示パネルの主面に押し当てる動きの角度を前記表示パネルの主面から略45度以下であることを特徴とする請求項3〜請求項5の何れかに記載の表示装置の製造装置。
