Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.ディジタル信号のワイヤレス通信を提供する方法であって、前記ディジタル 信号は複数のワイヤレス加入者装置と基地局間で通信され、前記ディジタル信号 は少なくとも1つの無線周波数チャネルを使用して符号分割多元接続(CDMA )変調無線信号を介して通信され、さらに前記ディジタル信号は所定の公称デー タ転送速度を有し、 a)各CDMA無線チャネル内の複数のサブチャネルであって、データ転送速度 が前記ディジタル信号の公称データ転送速度よりも遅いサブチャネルを利用可能 にし、 b)前記基地局を介して、前記加入者装置に接続されている端末装置とその基地 局に接続されているその他の端末装置との間でネットワーク層セッションを確立 し、 c)前記ネットワークセッション中は、必要な場合のみ利用可能なサブチャネル を割当て、これにより所定のセッションの継続時間中に割当てるサブチャネル数 を変更するワイヤレス通信の提供方法。 2.請求項1において、前記複数のサブチャネルは、各サブチャネルに直交コー ドを指定することによって、単一無線周波数搬送波上で利用可能にされるワイヤ レス通信の提供方法。 3.請求項1において、前記工程b)は、さらに、 i)ネットワーク層セッション確立時、最初に単一サブチャネルを割当て、 ii)前記ディジタル信号伝送を維持するために、セッションが追加帯域幅を必 要とする時に、追加サブチャネルを割当てるワイヤレス通信の提供方法。 4.請求項1において、前記ディジタル信号は、音声信号のディジタル化表現を 有し、さらに、 セッション接続の持続中は、前記音声信号の帯域幅要求に応えるのに十分なサ ブチャネルの割当てを維持するワイヤレス通信の提供方法。 5.請求項1において、前記ディジタル信号は、音声信号のディジタル化表現を 有し、さらに、 前記音声信号帯域幅を連続的に伝送するのに十分なサブチャネル帯域幅を選択 するワイヤレス通信の提供方法。 6.請求項1において、前記工程c)は、さらに、 前記セッション接続中にディジタル信号が存在しないときは、ネットワーク層 におけるセッション接続は維持し、さらに、連続してディジタル信号を伝送する のに利用できる十分な帯域幅があるかのように前記加入者装置の下位物理層に見 せかけるのに対して、サブチャネルの割当ては解除するワイヤレス通信の提供方 法。 7.請求項1において、前記サブチャネルは多数の加入者装置間でのサービス優 先順位クラスに応じて割当てられるワイヤレス通信の提供方法。 8.請求項1において、ディジタル信号が異なる公称帯域幅にあるワイヤレス通 信の提供方法。 9.ワイヤレス物理媒体を介してディジタルデータを通信する方法であって、前 記ディジタルデータパケットは、総合サービス・ディジタル・ネットワーク(I SDN)モデムによって、端末装置から受信されるような少なくとも基本速度イ ンタフェース(BRI)データ転送速度で供給され、前記ワイヤレス物理媒体は 符号分割多元接続(CDMA)無線周波数チャネルディジタル符号化を使用し、 a)各CDMAチャネルに対し複数直交コードを指定し、これにより、ISDN モデムによってサポートされるBRIデータ転送速度よりも遅いデータ転送速度 のみをサポートする複数サブチャネルを提供し、 b)伝送を必要とするデータエレメントの最小数になるまで、前記ISDNモデ ムから受取ったデータをバッフアリングし、 c)ワイヤレス物理媒体を介して、ISDNモデムに対し少なくとも1つのサブ チャネル割当てを要求し、 d)割当てられたサブチャネルを使用するデータを伝送し、 e)バッファリングされた多数のデータエレメントが所定の最大限度量を超える と、前記ISDNモデムから通信するために割当てられる追加サブチャネルを要 求し、 f)バッファリングされた多数のデータエレメントが所定の最小限界量に満たな いと、前記ISDNモデムに対する割当てからサブチャネルを開放するディジタ ルデータ通信方法。 10.基地局とサービスが提供される複数加入者装置とを有するセルラー方式デ ィジタル通信ネットワークと共に使用する、前記加入者装置に対して前記ディジ タル信号伝送チャネル用の帯域幅を割当てる方法であって、前記セルラー方式デ ィジタル通信ネットワークは制御チャネルを有し、この制御チャネルによって前 記加入者装置用通信セッションに対してディジタル信号伝送チャネルが指定され 、 a)ディジタル信号伝送チャネルに対する加入者装置の要求に応答して、通信セ ッション中に、前記加入者装置による使用のために、前記ディジタル信号伝送チ ャネルに対して前記利用可能な帯域幅の一部分を割当て、 b)前記通信セッション中、所定時間長さの間、前記加入者装置からディジタル 通信信号が発生しない場合、前記加入者装置による使用から前記利用可能な帯域 幅の前記部分を割当て解除する帯域幅割当て方法。 11.基地局とサービスが提供される複数加入者装置とを有するセルラー方式デ ィジタル通信ネットワークと共に使用する、前記加入者装置に対して前記ディジ タル信号伝送チャネル用の帯域幅を割当てる方法であって、前記セルラー方式デ ィジタル通信ネットワークは制御チャネルを有し、この制御チャネルによって前 記加入者装置用通信セッションに対してディジタル信号伝送チャネルが指定され 、 a)ディジタル通信信号伝送に対する加入者装置の要求に応答して、通信セッシ ョン中に、前記加入者装置による使用のために、前記加入者装 置の必要に適合できる範囲で選択される前記利用可能な帯域幅の一部分を割当て 、 b)前記通信セッション中、所定時間長さの間、前記加入者装置からディジタル 通信信号が発生しない場合、前記加入者装置から前記利用可能な帯域幅の前記選 択部分の所定部分を割当て解除し、代わりに前記利用可能な帯域幅の前記選択部 分の前記所定部分を別の加入者装置で使用できるようにする帯域幅割当て方法。
