Claims (16)

1. Postupak za smanjivanje onečišćenja u vodenom mediju nastalog u procesu izrade papira ili pulpe, obuhvaća sljedeće korake: a) nabava vodenog medija koji sadrži onečišćenja nastala u procesu izrade papira ili pulpe; b) nabava mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata i/ili taloženog kalcijevog karbonata; c) nabava sredstva za hidrofobizaciju, izabranog između alifatske karboksilne kiseline koja ima između 5 i 24 atoma ugljika; d) dovođenje u kontakt mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata i/ili taloženog kalcijevog karbonata iz koraka b) sa sredstvom za hidrofobizaciju iz koraka c) radi dobivanja hidrofobiziranog mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata i/ili taloženog kalcijevog karbonata; i e) dovođenje u kontakt vodenog medija iz koraka a) s hidrofobiziranim mljevenim kalcijevim karbonatom i/ili taloženim kalcijevim karbonatom dobivenim u koraku d).
2. Postupak prema zahtjevu 1, gdje se izvor mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata (GCC) izabire između mramora, krede, kalcita, dolomita, vapnenca i njihovih smjesa i/ili se taloženi kalcijev karbonat (PCC) izabire između jednog ili više od mineraloških kristalnih oblika aragonita, vaterita i kalcita.
3. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje je mljeveni kalcijev karbonat i/ili taloženi kalcijev karbonat u obliku praška ili u obliku kaše.
4. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje čestice mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata i/ili čestice taloženog kalcijevog karbonata imaju za promjer prosječno teške čestice vrijednost d50 od 0.1 do 50 µm, poželjno od 0.1 do 25 µm, poželjnije od 0.1 to 15 µm i najpoželjnije od 0.5 to 5 µm, mjereno prema metodi sedimentacije.
5. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje čestice mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata i/ili čestice taloženog kalcijevog karbonata imaju specifičnu površinu od 0.5 m2/g do 25 m2/g, poželjno 0.5 m2/g do 15 m2/g i poželjnije 1 m2/g do 11 m2/g, mjereno pomoću dušika i BET metode.
6. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje se sredstvo za hidrofobizaciju izabire iz grupe koja obuhvaća pentansku kiselinu, heksansku kiselinu, heptansku kiselinu, oktansku kiselinu, nonansku kiselinu, dekansku kiselinu, undekansku kiselinu, laurinsku kiselinu, tridekansku kiselinu, miristinsku kiselinu, pentadekansku kiselinu, palmitinsku kiselinu, heptadekansku kiselinu, stearinsku kiselinu, nonadekansku kiselinu, arahidonsku kiselinu, heneikozilinsku kiselinu, behensku kiselinu, trikozilinsku kiselinu, lignocerinsku kiselinu i njihove smjese, poželjno se sredstvo za hidrofobizaciju izabire iz grupe koja obuhvaća oktansku kiselinu, dekansku kiselinu, laurinsku kiselinu, miristinsku kiselinu, palmitinsku kiselinu, stearinsku kiselinu, arahidonsku kiselinu i njihove smjese i najpoželjnije se sredstvo za hidrofobizaciju izabire iz grupe koja obuhvaća miristinsku kiselinu, palmitinsku kiselinu, stearinsku kiselinu i njihove smjese.
7. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje sredstvo za hidrofobizaciju obuhvaća smjesu dvije alifatske karboksilne kiseline s između 5 i 24 atoma ugljika, uz uvjet da je jedna alifatska karboksilna kiselina stearinska kiselina.
8. Postupak prema zahtjevu 7, gdje je jedna alifatska karboksilna kiselina stearinska kiselina i druga se izabire iz grupe koja obuhvaća oktansku kiselinu, miristinsku kiselinu, palmitinsku kiselinu, arahidonsku kiselinu, behensku kiselinu i lignocerinsku kiselinu.
9. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje se korak d) provodi miješanjem mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata i/ili taloženog kalcijevog karbonata sa sredstvom za hidrofobizaciju.
10. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje se korak d) provodi tako da su i mljeveni kalcijev karbonat i/ili taloženi kalcijev karbonat iz koraka b) i sredstvo za hidrofobizaciju iz koraka c) u suhom stanju ili u otapalu.
11. Postupak prema bilo kojem od zahtjeva 1 do 10, gdje se korak d) provodi tako da su ili mljeveni kalcijev karbonat i/ili taloženi kalcijev karbonat iz koraka b) ili sredstvo za hidrofobizaciju iz koraka c) u otapalu.
12. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje se korak d) provodi pri povišenoj temperaturi tako da je sredstvo za hidrofobizaciju u tekućem ili rastaljenom stanju.
13. Postupak prema zahtjevu 12, gdje se korak d) provodi pri temperaturi od barem 50°C, poželjno barem 75°C, poželjnije između 50°C i 120°C i najpoželjnije između 70°C i 100°C.
14. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje se hidrofobizirani mljeveni kalcijev karbonat i/ili hidrofobizirani taloženi kalcijev karbonat iz koraka d) koristi u obliku praška i/ili u obliku granula ili u obliku kaše.
15. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje se pH vodenog medija s onečišćenjem podešava na vrijednost > 6, poželjnije > 6.5 i još poželjnije > 7 prije dodavanja hidrofobiziranog mljevenog kalcijevog karbonata i/ili hidrofobiziranog taloženog kalcijevog karbonata.
16. Postupak prema bilo kojem od prethodnih zahtjeva, gdje se vodeni medij s onečišćenjem izabire iz grupe koja obuhvaća mehaničku pulpu, npr. mljeveno drvo, TMP (termo mehaničku pulpu), ili kemotermomehaničku pulpu (CTMP), kao i kemijsku pulpu, npr. kraft pulpu ili sulfatnu pulpu, ili recikliranu pulpu, koristi u procesu izrade papira.
