Abstract
Biljka suncokreta, naznačena time, da u svojem genomu sadrži barem jednu kopiju od barem jednog endogenog gena koji sadrži veliku podjedinicu polinukleotida sinteze acetohidroksilne kiseline (AHASL), gdje spomenuti AHASL polinukleotid kodira imidazolinon AHASL1 protein otporan na herbicide, koji sadrži sekvencu amino kiseline iznesenu u SEQ ID NO:2; ili njezina biljka potomak, pri čemu spomenuta biljka suncokreta ili njezin potomak, ima povećanu otpornost na barem jedan imidazolinonski herbicid u usporedbi s divljim tipom biljke suncokreta. Patent sadrži još 11 patentnih zahtjeva.
Claims (12)
1. Biljka suncokreta, naznačena time, da u svojem genomu sadrži barem jednu kopiju od barem jednog endogenog gena koji sadrži veliku podjedinicu polinukleotida sinteze acetohidroksilne kiseline (AHASL), gdje spomenuti AHASL polinukleotid kodira imidazolinon AHASL1 protein otporan na herbicide, koji sadrži sekvencu amino kiseline iznesenu u SEQ ID NO:2; ili njezina biljka potomak, pri čemu spomenuta biljka suncokreta ili njezin potomak, ima povećanu otpornost na barem jedan imidazolinonski herbicid u usporedbi s divljim tipom biljke suncokreta.
2. Biljka suncokreta prema zahtjevu 1, naznačena time, da spomenuta biljka ima pojačanu otpornost na barem jedan herbicid odabran iz skupine koju čine herbicidi sulfoniluree i triazolopirimidinski herbicidi.
3. Biljka suncokreta prema zahtjevu 1 ili 2, naznačena time, da spomenuti AHASL polinukleotid otporan na herbicide sadrži sekvencu nukleotida iznesenu u SEQ ID NO:1.
4. Biljka suncokreta prema bilo kojem od zahtjeva 1 do 3, naznačena time, da spomenuti AHASL protein otporan na herbicide nadalje sadrži barem jedan član odabran iz skupine koju čine:
a) leukin na poziciji amino kiseline 559 ili na ekvivalentnoj poziciji u odnosu na sekvencu amino kiseline iznesenu u SEQ ID NO:12; i
b) bilo koji od asparagina, treonina, fenilalanina ili valina na poziciji amino kiseline 638 ili na ekvivalentnoj poziciji u odnosu na sekvencu amino kiseline iznesenu u SEQ ID NO:12.
5. Sjeme biljke suncokreta prema bilo kojem od zahtjeva 1 do 4, naznačeno time, da spomenuto sjeme sadrži u svojem genomu barem jednu kopiju spomenutog AHASL polinukleotida.
6. Biljka suncokreta prema bilo kojem od zahtjeva 1 do 5, naznačena time, da obuhvaća svojstva imidazolinona otpornog na herbicide linije GM40 ili GM1606, uzorak sjemena linije koja je bila deponirana pri ATCC Patent Deposit Number PTA-6716 odnosno pri ATCC Patent Deposit Number PTA-7606, pri čemu je biljka:
a) potomak linije GM40 ili GM1606;
b) mutant, rekombinant ili derivat genetičkog inženjeringa linije GM40 ili GM1606; ili
c) biljka koja je potomak od barem jedne biljke iz (a) ili (b).
7. Sjeme biljke suncokreta prema zahtjevu 6, naznačeno time, da spomenuto sjeme sadrži svojstva imidazolinona otpornog na herbicide iz linije GM40 ili GM1606.
8. Postupak suzbijanja korova u blizini biljke suncokreta, naznačen time, da spomenuti postupak obuhvaća primjenu učinkovite količine imidazolinon-herbicida, ili mješavine imidazolinon-herbicida, sulfonilurea-herbicida i/ili triazolopirimidin-herbicida, na korov i na biljku suncokreta, pri čemu je spomenuta biljka suncokreta ona biljka suncokreta prema bilo kojem od zahtjeva 1 do 4 ili 6.
9. Postupak prema zahtjevu 8, naznačen time, da je spomenuti imidazolinon-herbicid odabran iz skupine koju čine: 2-(4-izopropil-4-metil-5-okso-2-imidazolin-2-il)-nikotinska kiselina, 2-(4-izopropil-4-metil-5-okso-2-imidazolin-2-il)-3-kinolinkarboksilna kiselina, 5-etil-2-(4-izopropil-4-metil-5-okso-2-imidazolin-2-il)-nikotinska kiselina, 2-(4-izopropil-4-metil-5-okso-2-imidazolin-2-il)-5-(metoksimetil)-nikotinska kiselina, 2-(4-izopropil-4-metil-5-okso-2-imidazolin-2-il)-5-metilnikotinska kiselina i mješavina metil-6-(4-izopropil-4-metil-5-okso-2-imidazolin-2-il)-m-toluata i metil-2-(4-izopropil-4-metil-5-okso-2-imidazolin-2-il)-p-toluata, te njihove mješavine.
10. Postupak prema zahtjevu 8, naznačen time, da je spomenuti sulfonilurea-herbicid odabran iz skupine koju čine: klorosulfuron, metsulfuron metil, sulfometuron metil, klorimuron etil, tifensulfuron metil, tribenuron metil, bensulfuron metil, nikosulfuron, etametsulfuron metil, rimsulfuron, triflusulfuron metil, triasulfuron, primisulfuron metil, kinosulfuron, amidosulfuron, flazasulfuron, imazosulfuron, pirazosulfuron etil, halosulfuron, te njihove mješavine.
11. Sjeme biljke prema bilo kojem od zahtjeva 1 do 4 ili 6, naznačeno time, da se spomenuto sjeme tretira sa AHAS-inhibirajućim imidazolinon-herbicidom, ili mješavinom imidazolinon-herbicida, sulfonilurea-herbicida i/ili triazolopirimidin-herbicida.
12. Postupak za suzbijanje neželjene vegetacije, naznačen time, da obuhvaća stavljanje u doticaj sjemena biljke prema bilo kojem zahtjevu od 1 do 4 i 6, prije sijanja i/ili nakon pred-klijanja, s AHAS-inhibirajućim imidazolinon-herbicidom, ili s mješavinom imidazolinon-herbicida, sulfonilurea-herbicida i/ili triazolopirimidin-herbicida.
