PLANTA DE GIRASSOL, SEMENTE DE PLANTA DE GIRASSOL, MÉTODOS PARA CONTROLAR ERVAS DANINHAS NA VIZINHANÇA DE PLANTA DE GIRASSOL, PARA AUMENTAR ATIVIDADE DE AHAS EM UMA PLANTA, PARA PRODUZIR UMA PLANTA RESISTENTE A HERBICIDA, PARA ESTIMULAR TOLERÂNCIA A HERBICIDA EM UMA PLANTA TOLERANTE A HERBICIDA, PARA SELECIONAR POR UMA CÉLULA VEGETAL TRANSFORMADA, PARA AUMENTAR A RESISTÊNCIA A HERBICIDA DE UMA PLANTA E PARA COMBATER VEGETAÇçO INDESEJADA, MOLÉCULA ISOLADA DE POLINUCLEOTÍDEO, CAS SETE DE EXPRESSçO, CÉLULA HOSPEDEIRA NçO HUMANA, VETOR DE TRANSFORMAÇçO, PLANTA TRANSFORMADA, SEMENTE TRANSFORMADA DA PLANTA TRANSFORMADA, CÉLULA VEGETAL TRANSFORMADA, POLIPEPTÍDEO ISOLADO, E, PLANTA RESISTENTE A HERBICIDA. Cassetes de expressão e vetores de transformação compreendendo os polinucleotídeos da invenção, assim como plantas e células hospedeiras transformadas com os polinucleotídeos, são descritas. Métodos de usar os polinucleotídeos para estimular a resistência de plantas a herbicidas, e métodos para controlar ervas daninhas na vizinhança de plantas resistentes a herbicida também são descritos.
