993,186. Supporting lamps on poles. E. LENZE. Nov. 14, 1962 [Nov. 17, 1961], No. 43052/62. Heading F4R. Means for mounting a lamp on a pole consist of a flexible clamping bushing forming part of the lamp housing and surrounding the pole and a clamping means surrounding the bushing. In the form shown, the end of the lantern casing 2 is turned inwards to form a cylindrical band 6 with lugs 7 into which the end 3 of the pole 1 is inserted. A metal strap (not shown) mounted on an angle bracket on the casing 2 passes round the lugs and is tightened by a nut and bolt. The end 3 of the pole is of reduced diameter and a packing 8 is inserted between the shoulder so formed and the lantern casing. A second similar clamping means may be provided at the inner end of the pole inside the casing.
