Abstract
1,177,817. Lamp caps and holders. HISHEAR CORP. 20 Feb., 1967, No. 7941/67. Heading H2E. A terminal lead 14 from one end of a tubular lamp 10 is clamped by a screw 59 to a banana plug 55-60 which is received in a socket contact 35, the socket 35 and an insulating bushing 25-31 which surrounds it being held in a reflector 16 by a terminal nut 38 threaded on to the rear of the socket. A flange 56 and a nut 58 on the banana plug engage shoulders 52, 51 of a ceramic housing 46 formed with a hood 45 which covers the end of the lamp and with a recess 50 which fits over the bushing 25. Air coolant from a conduit 23 flows through the housing 46 and past the end of the lamp.
