Abstract

991,478. Valves. COMMUNICATIONS Ltd. April 9, 1962, No. 13556/62. Heading F2V. A valve for dispensing fluid substances comprises a housing 1 having a cylindrical bore which receives a rotatable cylindrical plug 2. The housing has an inlet 1b leading from a flat external face, by which the valve may be mounted on a container, and an outlet 1c which is out of alignment with the inlet. The plug has a transverse passage 2a, 2b and carries a sealing ring 6a which surrounds the inlet in the valve closed position and a ring 6b which surrounds the outlet in the valve open position. The valve is rotated by a handle 11 connected to either side of the plug by arms 7a.
