Abstract

982,573. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. E. C. LEWIS, and ALUMASC Ltd. April 28, 1961, No. 35801/60. Heading FIR. [Also in Division F2] A container has a compartment 20 for gas under pressure and a liquid compartment 21 which has a fitting 74 carrying a dip tube 22 and an inlet for gas sealed by self closing valves 93, 92 respectively. The fitting 74 is adapted to receive a connector F and a removable frame 73. A spindle 75 engages the connector F and a cross pin 77 engages a cam surface 79 so that by turning the knob 76 the connector is moved axially to engage and open the valves 92, 93 so that the dip tube 22 is connected to the outlet 19 and the gas inlet to a reducing valve R. The valve R is connected by a flexible pipe to a coupling C which has a portion 30 adapted to engage and open a valve 37 to establish communication with the gas compartment 20.
