Abstract

1,133,232. 232. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. A. STANG-SCHMIDDING [trading as WILHELM SCHMIDDING]. May 5, 1966 [Dec. 2, 1965], No.19871/66. Heading F1R. In a pressurized liquid dispensing container, e.g. a domestic siphon for beer, the dip tube 1 is wholly or partially a flexible tube. The container is pressurized by a gas vessel within the container provided with pressure-reducing and non-return valves. The dip tube shown comprises a rigid portion 1 and a flexible portion 2 with a metal suction head 3. Portions 1 and 2 may be joined by a plug connection 4. The container discharge spout 5 is rotatable so that dispensing may be effected with the container vertical or horizontal. The spout 5 may be removed and housed in a compartment 7 in the container handle fitted with a hinged lid 9. Discharge valve 12 is actuated by a lever 13.
