Abstract

1,101,805. Valves. PITTSBURGH RAILWAYS CO., [trading as SEAQUIST VALVE CO.]. 8 April, 1965 [10 April, 1964], No. 14953/65. Heading F2V. [Also in Division F1] The valve chamber 12 of a pressurized dispensing container valve, in addition to communicating with the dip-tube 24 is connected to a chamber 18 opening at the top adjacent the top of the container, a valve 20 closing the connection when the container is upright and opening when the container is inverted. The chamber 18 is of polygonal cross-section so that liquid flows past the valve 20 to the chamber 12 when the valve 14 is opened with the container in inverted position. In an alternative arrangement for modifying normal discharge valves, the chambers 12, 18 and dip-tube 24 comprise a unit, the chamber 12 being arranged for attachment to the dip tube connection of the normal valve.
