Abstract

1,067,985. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. C.R.M. GRAHAM. Feb. 28, 1966 [March 2, 1965], No. 8686/66. Heading F1R. In a pressurized aerosol dispensing container, the valve member 119 is biased against a sealing disc 110 by a resiliently deformable element 132 mounted on the valve housing 113, as shown, or on the valve member 119, and applying pressure over a substantially punctiform area at its apex. The apex may engage in a recess in the valve member or valve housing, Figs.4 and 5 (not shown). The element may comprise a hollow cone moulded integrally with or cemented to the valve housing over the dip tube opening, and having orifices for the passage of the container contents, Figs. 7 and 8 (not shown). The valve member flange may be formed integrally with the valve member, as shown, or attached by snap action, Fig.4 (not shown).
