Abstract

1,111,999. Delivering measured quantities of liquid. NEWMAN-GREEN VENTIL G.m.b.H. 5 July, 1965 [9 July, 1964], No. 28368/65. Heading B8N. [Also in Division F1] A pressurized container discharge valve for dispensing a measured quantity of liquid, comprises a chamber 4, Fig. 1, which is filled with liquid from the container via dip tube 20, passage 3 and valve stem slot 17 when the valve is in its rest position, the chamber contents being discharged via aperture 13 and passages 24, 25 on depression of button 10, which moves valve stem 7 downwardly to move slot 17 out of, and aperture 13 into, communication with chamber 4. For charging the container with propellant gas, button 10 is replaced by a filling nozzle 9, which is depressed to move cylinder 2 downwardly to unseat from gasket 11, so that the gas enters the container through wide passages 21, 16 and dip tube 20.
