Abstract

973,623. Delivering measured quantities of liquids. VALVE CORPORATION OF AMERICA. May 28, 1963 [June 1, 1962], No. 21280/63. Heading B8N. [Also in Division F1] An aerosol container valve assembly for delivering metered quantities when in an upright position, and a continuous discharge when inverted, comprises a metering chamber 60 and a valve stem 40 which, when depressed, connects chamber 60 to atmosphere via aperture 44 and passage 42, and when released, connects chamber 60 to a dip tube 30 via a cutaway 58. When the container is inverted and valve 40 depressed, continuous discharge takes place via apertures 64 in the chamber wall controlled by a sealing gasket 26.
