Abstract
1303678 Pressurized container SOC DE FABRICATIONS ET DE DISTRIBUTION DE PARFUMERIE ET COSMETIQUE DIPARCO S A 20 April 1970 [22 April 1969 7 Nov 1969] 18853/70 Heading F1R A discharge device for distribution under pressure of a liquid or paste product stored separately in a receptacle 3 from the liquefied propellant comprises a valve body 4 having an inner axially movable valve member 6, closing on a seat 10, a dip tube 5 extending downwards from said valve body and an inner propellant container 11 enclosing said valve body and sealed around the dip tube at 14. The container 11 has a flap valve arrangement 15 operable to allow flow communication with said receptacle and the whole device is mounted in a collar 2 for crimping onto the receptacle 3 such that an actuation of the valve member, propellant gas above the product, propels product up from 3 through dip tube 5 to exit via passage 9, 8. The pressure differential set up across flap valve 15 causing the vapourisation and flow of additional propellant from 11 to continue discharge through 5, 8, 4, 9. In a second embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown), a propellant filling flap valve arrangement (20) is included in the valve body wall such that after crimping the device on a receptacle, valve member 6 is depressed to close the orifice (19) and propellant is forced to flow into the container 11 through the flap valve. Various flap valve arrangements and constructions of valve body/dip tube and inner container are described.
